Purpose: The study focused on developing a rapid PCR-based detection method and employing gamma irradiation techniques to manage , aiming to produce brown rot-free export-quality potatoes. This initiative seeks to enhance potato exports from Bangladesh.
Materials And Methods: Samples of potato tubers and soil were collected from various commercially significant potato-growing areas, resulting in a total of 168 isolates from potato tubers and soil across 12 regions. The detection of in the enriched tuber extract and soil were conducted using the primer pairs (PS-1, PS-2) and (759, 760). For the gamma irradiation experiment, petri dishes containing cultures were subjected to different doses of gamma rays at the Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture using a Co source. The irradiation doses applied to the samples were 0-6.0KGy.
Results: Morphological identification based on pink/light red colonies on TTC medium was confirmed in 148 isolates. PCR using species-specific primers (PS-1/PS-2) and (759, 760) verified 26 isolates (14 tubers, 12 soil), producing 553 bp and 281 bp fragments in latently infected tubers and soil samples respectively. Gamma irradiation at 2.5 kGy damaged DNA and cells, preventing brown rot, while higher doses eliminated it entirely. This offers a promising strategy to enhance safety of stored potatoes, potentially mitigating economic losses from this quarantine pathogen.
Conclusion: The study developed a PCR detection method and gamma irradiation techniques to manage , enhancing the export quality of potatoes.

Anthocyanins (AC) are natural bioactive substances with the excellent antioxidant properties, but its structure is susceptible to the external environmental factors with inevitably decreased bioavailability. In this work, γ-cyclodextrin based metal-organic framework (CD-MOF) shows high encapsulation efficiency (96.09 %) and satisfiable loading amount (24.

Background: Modern radiation therapy for breast cancer has significantly advanced with the adoption of volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), offering enhanced precision and improved treatment efficiency.
Purpose: To ensure the accuracy and precision of such complex treatments, a robust patient-specific quality assurance (PSQA) protocol is essential. This study investigates the potential of machine learning (ML) models to predict gamma passing rates (GPR), a key metric in PSQA.

Background: This study evaluates the quality of synthetic computed tomography (sCT) images for MR-only radiotherapy in prostate cancer using gamma analysis. A software tool, MRGamma, was developed to address challenges like the absence of electron density maps and registration uncertainties between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and planning CT (pCT).
Materials And Methods: Aplication developed in MATLAB assesses Hounsfield units (HU) discrepancies between CT and sCT images via 2D and 3D gamma analysis (GA).

Anastrepha obliqua, a neotropical pest widely distributed in the Americas, attacks mango and other tropical fruits. In Mexico, it is controlled through integrated pest management, using the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) as a main component. The applicability of SIT is significantly improved with the use of genetic sexing strains (GSS) that allow the possibility to release exclusively sterile males, the primary component of the technique.

Introduction: Leukemia and radiation-induced liver toxicity are significant health challenges requiring effective therapeutic strategies. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and radiosensitizing effects of Diosgenin-loaded silver nanoparticles (Dio-AgNPs) in ENU-induced leukemic mice, with a focus on their dual role in mitigating leukemia progression and γ-irradiation-induced hepatotoxicity.
Methods: Dio-AgNPs were synthesized and characterized using TEM, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, and encapsulation efficiency analysis.
