There is an urgent call to transform nursing education in response to evolving changes in healthcare. It is critical that nursing graduates are prepared to thrive and deliver care in complex environments to increasingly diverse populations. This article describes a nursing school's approach to achieve these goals and presents details of work completed during the early phases of curriculum revision to integrate the American Association of Colleges of Nursing's (AACN's) 2021 publication, The Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education, into the baccalaureate programs.

The spatial prediction of edible fungi is essential for the conservation and sustainable use of non-wood forest products (NWFPs) and contributes to the understanding of fungal biodiversity in forest ecosystems. This study compares multiple species distribution modeling (SDM) techniques to predict the spatial distribution of Lactarius deliciosus (L.) Gray in the Refahiye and Tekçam Forest Planning Units (FPUs) in Türkiye.

September 2025

Department of Rheumatology, University Hospital Zurich, University of Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland; Department of Rheumatology, Oslo University Hospital, Oslo, Norway. Electronic address:

Background: Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a frequent manifestation of connective tissue diseases (CTDs) and is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Clinical practice guidelines to standardise screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for CTD-ILD are of high importance for optimised patient care.

Methods: A European Respiratory Society and European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology task force committee, composed of pulmonologists, rheumatologists, pathologists, radiologists, methodologists and patient representatives, developed recommendations based on PICO (Patients, Intervention, Comparison, Outcomes) questions with grading of the evidence according to the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluations) methodology and complementary narrative questions agreed on by both societies.

Case Summary: We present a case of a 31-year-old man with a history of aortic valve endocarditis and surgical aortic intervention. Computed tomography revealed a complex serpiginous fistula with 2 openings between the left ventricular outflow tract and the left atrium. Using 3-dimensional printing simulation for device fit testing and planning, the "mother-in-daughter" system, multimodality guidance with computed tomography angiography C-arm prediction, and 3-dimensional transesophageal echocardiogram guidance successfully guided an 18-mm Cribriform Amplatzer device deployed via a retrograde approach.

Purpose: The potential of mixed reality to improve the accuracy of glenoid preparation pin positioning in shoulder arthroplasty has been previously reported. Another benefit of mixed reality may be its ability to assist junior surgeons in enhancing their precision during prosthetic procedures. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the accuracy of glenoid preparation pin positioning between a senior surgeon and a junior surgeon utilizing mixed reality guidance.
