Soldering is common in electrical product manufacturing, but the task load in small units is unquantified. Therefore, this study aimed to establish the occurrence of task load due to soldering work, analyzing the effects of age and sex among workers in small manufacturing units. The task load of 102 soldering workers from four small-scale manufacturing units was assessed using the National Aeronautics and Space Administration task load index (NASA-TLX) questionnaire, covering six dimensions: physical demand, mental demand, temporal demand, effort, performance and frustration. Statistical analyses were performed using the Mann-Whitney test, the Kruskal-Wallis test and ordinal regression, considering age, sex and work characteristics as independent variables. Age and work characteristics significantly influenced task loading, with a high prevalence of physical, mental and temporal demands and effort among soldering workers. These findings could lead to interventions in terms of the workstation design.

Background And Objective: The early detection of breast cancer plays a critical role in improving survival rates and facilitating precise medical interventions. Therefore, the automated identification of breast abnormalities becomes paramount, significantly enhancing the prospects of successful treatment outcomes. To address this imperative, our research leverages multiple modalities such as MRI, CT, and mammography to detect and screen for breast cancer.

The increasing dependence on cloud computing as a cornerstone of modern technological infrastructures has introduced significant challenges in resource management. Traditional load-balancing techniques often prove inadequate in addressing cloud environments' dynamic and complex nature, resulting in suboptimal resource utilization and heightened operational costs. This paper presents a novel smart load-balancing strategy incorporating advanced techniques to mitigate these limitations.

Limiting cognitive resources negatively impacts motor learning, but its cognitive mechanism is still unclear. Previous studies failed to differentiate its effect on explicit (or cognitive) and implicit (or procedural) aspects of motor learning. Here, we designed a dual-task paradigm requiring participants to simultaneously perform a visual working memory task and a visuomotor rotation adaptation task to investigate how cognitive load differentially impacted explicit and implicit motor learning.

Purpose: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is a common technique in the surgical management of renal lithiasis, but it also represents a significant workload for surgeons. Factors such as the patient's position and the type of lithotripter used influence the physical and mental load on the surgeon. The study aimed to identify stressors related to PCNL by comparing the physical and mental workload experienced by urologists during PCNL under different patient positions and using two lithotripters.

Background: This study evaluates how AI enhances EHR efficiency by comparing a lung cancer-specific LLM with general-purpose models (DeepSeek, GPT-3.5) and clinicians across expertise levels, assessing accuracy and completeness in complex lung cancer pathology documentation and task load changes pre-/post-AI implementation.
Methods: This study analyzed 300 lung cancer cases (Shanghai Chest Hospital) and 60 TCGA cases, split into training/validation/test sets.
