Background: At present, existing risk scores together with traditional biomarkers such as troponin and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) are still unable to accurately predict cancer therapy-related cardiac dysfunction (CTRCD). MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have emerged as promising biomarkers for improved identification of high-risk patients; however, limited studies have been performed in patients with HER2-positive breast cancer.
Objectives: To investigate the predictive potential of six serum-derived circulating miRNAs for CTRCD occurrence in patients with early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer receiving trastuzumab (TTZ).

Background: The factors contributing to a poor response to subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation (STN-DBS) in Parkinson's disease (PD) are not yet fully understood. Accordingly, predicting the outcome might be challenging particularly in those who display an optimal response to the Levodopa challenge test.
Objective: To determine which factors may contribute to poor outcome of STN-DBS in PD.

Objective: Adolescent anhedonia (AA) exhibits distinct characteristics. Currently available anhedonia scales in Chinese are designed solely for adult populations. This investigation assessed the psychometric characteristics of the Chinese Anhedonia Scale for Adolescents (ASA-C) across clinical, subthreshold, and typically developing adolescent cohorts, while establishing its optimal cut-off for prominent anhedonia identification.

Background and objectives Hemorrhoidal disease (HD) is a common anorectal condition affecting a large number of adults worldwide. Lack of standardized outcomes limits treatment decisions in HD. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), directly reported by the patients, offer standardized, patient-centric measures, aiding in HD severity assessment and treatment decisions.

Introduction: Patent foramen ovale (PFO) is associated with cryptogenic stroke (CS), whereas not all PFO carriers experience strokes. Current risk assessment tools like the Risk of Paradoxical Embolism (RoPE) scoring system and PFO-Associated Stroke Causal Likelihood (PASCAL) system have limitations, particularly in elderly populations. This study aims to explore risk factors for PFO-related CS and evaluate age-related differences between younger and elderly patients.
