Quantum and quasi-classical dynamics calculations were conducted for the reaction of Si with OH on the latest potential energy surface (PES), which is obtained by fitting tens of thousands of energy points by using the many-body expansion formula. To obtain an accurate PES, all energy points calculated with aug-cc-pVQZ and aug-cc-pV5Z basis sets were extrapolated to the complete basis set limit. The accuracy of our new PES was verified by comparing the topographic characteristics and contour maps of potential energy with other works. In addition, the anharmonic vibrational frequencies of HOSi and HSiO based on the present and PES by means of quantum dynamics methods were calculated. Dynamics information such as reaction probability, integral cross sections (ICS), product distribution, and rate constants was obtained on the new HOSi(XA') PES. The dynamic information calculated using the quasi-classical trajectory method and time-dependent wave packet method is generally in good agreement, except for the vibrational state-resolved ICSs of product. The calculated differential cross section and capture time reveal that the reaction is primarily governed by the complex formation mechanism.

Accurate determination of the parameters of each high purity germanium, HPGe detectors ensure the precision of quantitative results obtained from spectrum analysis. This study presents a comprehensive performance evaluation and long-term quality control assessment of a high-purity germanium (HPGe) gamma spectrometry system that has been operational for over 15 years. Key spectrometric measures were recorded, including energy resolution, peak shape ratios, asymmetry, peak-to-Compton ratio, relative efficiency, electronic noise, minimum detectable activity (MDA), and repeatability and reproducibility of the system.

Azo dyes, prevalent in various industries, including textile dyeing, food, and cosmetics, pose significant environmental and health risks due to their chemical stability and toxicity. This study introduces the synthesis and application of a copper hydrogen-π-bonded benzoate framework (Cu-HBF) and its derived marigold flower-like copper oxide (MFL-CuO) in a synergetic adsorption-photocatalytic process for efficiently removing cationic azo dyes from water, specifically crystal violet (CV), methylene blue (MB), and rhodamine B (RhB). The Cu-HBF, previously available only in single crystal form, is prepared here as a crystalline powder for the first time, using a low-cost and facile procedure, allowing its application as an adsorbent and also serving as a precursor for synthesizing well-structured copper oxide (MFL-CuO).

Lead-free electroceramics have attracted significant research interest as alternatives to lead-containing systems due to concerns related to lead's toxicity to human health and the environment. Solid solutions based on bismuth sodium titanate (BNT) and barium titanate (BT), particularly those with compositions near the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB), such as 0.94 BiNaTiO-0.

The Slater-type F12 geminal length scales originally tuned for the second-order Mo̷ller-Plesset F12 method are too large for higher-order F12 methods formulated using the SP (diagonal fixed-coefficient spin-adapted) F12 ansatz. The new geminal parameters reported herein reduce the basis set incompleteness errors (BSIEs) of absolute coupled-cluster singles and doubles F12 correlation energies by a significant─and increase with the cardinal number of the basis─margin. The effect of geminal reoptimization is especially pronounced for the cc-pVZ-F12 basis sets (specifically designed for use with F12 methods) relative to their conventional aug-cc-pVZ counterparts.

Background: Pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) is a complex procedure with significant postoperative morbidity. Associated sarcopenia could be a potential risk for increased post-operative complications.
Methods: Patients who had undergone pancreaticoduodenectomy bet-ween July 2019 to December 2020 were included in the study.
