Aza-Diels-Alder cycloaddition reaction is a critical synthetic method for the production of bioactive tetrahydroquinolines. To this aim, an imine obtained from the reaction of an aniline derivative and a carbonyl compound is cyclized with an alkene in the presence of a catalyst. In this research, some tetrahydroquinoline compounds are synthesized through aza-Diels-Alder reaction in the presence of a prepared Ce(III) immobilized on the functionalized halloysite (Ce/Hal-TCT-IDA) as a catalyst. Ce/Hal-TCT-IDA was prepared by incorporation of aminopropyl silane on the halloysite surface, followed by treatment with 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine (TCT) and iminodiacetic acid (IDA), and loading cerium nitrate. Then, it was characterized and analyzed by different analytical methods, indicating the amorphous agglomerated grains (20-60 nm), containing 0.00196 mmol g Ce(III) ions. The catalytic activity and reusability of Ce/Hal-TCT-IDA were studied in this research.

The rapid development of industry and agriculture has led to a significant increase in the toxicity and pollution of cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb) in soil. Consequently, soil remediation employing biochar or modified biochar has emerged as a cost-effective and environmentally sustainable approach to address the issue of heavy metal (HM) ion pollution. PEI-functionalization biochar (PBC) derived from corn straw (PBCC), wood straw (PBCW), and rice straw (PBCR) was synthesized to immobilize Cd and Pb in contaminated acidic yellow soil.

Chronic restraint stress (CRS) is a widely recognized model to study stress-induced anorexia and metabolic dysregulation in mice. Acyl-coenzyme A-binding protein (ACBP) has emerged as a critical player in metabolic regulation, with potential implications for stress-related disorders. This study presents two complementary methodologies to artificially elevate circulating Acyl-CoA-binding protein (ACBP) levels in mice under CRS.

Introduction And Importance: Monteggia lesions combine a fracture of the ulna with dislocation of the radial head. Monteggia-like variants add a radial head fracture. We report a unique Monteggia-like injury with a bifocal radial fracture and subcutaneous enucleation of the radial neck, which does not fit existing classifications.

Multiple stretchable gels with conductivity have been thoroughly prepared in diverse solvents historically to modulate their superlative properties in a multitude of applications, such as soft robotics, wearable devices, and e-skins. Eutectogels are considered as an emerging class of gels that combine the best features of both hydrogels and organogels, including environmental friendliness, thermal stability and customizable nature. Eutectogels, composed of deep eutectic solvents (DES) immobilized within different matrices, not only inherit the merits of DES, but also show some additional properties derived from the special structure and compositions, which are conducive to development potential.

This study develops a multienzyme coimmobilization strategy on NTA-functionalized ZIF-8-coated magnetic nanoparticles (NZMNPs) for efficient d-allulose synthesis. Under optimized immobilization conditions (enzyme-to-carrier ratio: 1:50 w/w, 30 min immobilization), the system achieved an immobilization efficiency of 93.7% along with 107.
