Background: Immunotherapy is a mainstay in the treatment of patients with advanced melanoma. Yet, resistance mechanisms exist, and tumour-associated macrophages (TAMs), particularly the M2-like phenotype, are associated with poorer outcomes, with CD206 serving as their specific marker. We present the first human SPECT/CT study to visualize CD206 + TAMs in patients undergoing immunotherapy and compare the findings to clinical outcomes (NCT04663126).

Introduction: Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is caused by excessive hormone secretion from one or more parathyroid glands. Based on their morphological and immunophenotypic characteristics, parathyroid glands can be considered as neuroendocrine organs, and their neoplasms as neuroendocrine tumors. The 2022 World Health Organization (WHO) Classification of Endocrine and Neuroendocrine Tumors introduced updated diagnostic criteria, advancing the understanding of parathyroid neoplasms.

Background: This study compared the dimensions of the thyroid gland measured by the scintigraphic method with those measured by the ultrasonographic method. Additionally, the correlation between the technetium uptake level of the thyroid gland and the thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) values of the patient was investigated.
Aim: The aim of this study was to measure the uptake values and scintigraphic dimensions of the thyroid gland by using Technetium 99m pertechnetate and to investigate the relationship between these values in euthyroid and hyperthyroid states.

Background: Transthyretin amyloidosis is an under-recognised systemic disease whereby misfolded transthyretin proteins form fibrils capable of depositing in various tissues and organs. Despite improvements to diagnostic modalities, the associations between imaging techniques and clinical laboratory metrics remain unclear.
Methods: A single-centre retrospective cohort study was performed including 183 patients aged 18 years or older diagnosed with transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA) in a tertiary care setting.

Purpose To verify the accuracy of clinically used cardiac MRI T1 mapping sequences for measuring extracellular volume fraction (ECV) throughout the spectrum of pathologic values using an independent reference standard. Materials and Methods Acute myocardial ischemia was induced in six pigs using endovascular balloon occlusion in the left anterior descending artery between October 2018 and November 2018. After 7 days of reperfusion, ECV was measured in vivo using four sequences: three modified Look-Locker inversion recovery (MOLLI) and one saturation recovery single-shot acquisition (SASHA) sequences.
