Background: Delivering intensive care in conflict zones and other resource-limited settings presents unique clinical, logistical, and ethical challenges. These contexts, characterized by disrupted infrastructure, limited personnel, and prolonged field care, require adapted strategies to ensure critical care delivery under resource-limited settings.
Objective: This scoping review aims to identify and characterize medical innovations developed or implemented in recent conflicts that may be relevant and transposable to intensive care units operating in other resource-limited settings.

Identifying low-cost implementation strategies to facilitate the uptake of technological innovations can help low-resource community clinics mitigate health disparities. Using a social network approach to identify organizational opinion leaders (OLs) can facilitate the adoption of innovations. To fill knowledge gaps related to alternative methods of identifying OLs, we identify and compare OLs in a low-resource community clinic using theoretically based techniques using Phi correlations and a binary logistic regression.

The research and implementation of portable and low-cost analytical devices that possess high reproducibility and ease of operation is still a challenging task, and a growing field of importance, within the analytical research. Herein, we report the concept, design and optimization of a microfluidic device based on electrochemiluminescence (ECL) detection that can be potentially operated without electricity for analytical purposes. The device functions exploiting the concept of streaming potential-driven bipolar electrochemistry, where a potential difference, generated from the flow of an electrolyte through a microchannel under the influence of a pressure gradient, is the driving force for redox reactions.

This review critically examines the rapidly advancing field of cellulosic natural fibre-reinforced polymer (NFRP) composites, with a particular emphasis on material innovation aligned with sustainability and environmental responsibility. The review presents a systematic analysis of recent literature evaluating the mechanical, thermal, water absorption, wear, and machining characteristics of NFRP composites, as well as the influence of advanced processing approaches such as additive manufacturing. Special attention is given to the structure-property relationships and hybridisation strategies employed to address limitations such as relatively lower mechanical performance and durability compared to synthetic fibre composites.

Trivalent antimony (Sb(III)) is listed as a priority aquatic contaminant due to its high toxicity. The oxidation of Sb(III) to pentavalent antimony (Sb(V)) and recovery is a desirable process for treatment of Sb-containing wastewater. Given the challenges of low cost and green production, researches on constructing an oxidation route in the absence of homogeneous oxidant for Sb oxidation and recovery are urgent.
