Article Abstract

Resonances are uniquely characterized by their complex pole locations and the corresponding residues. In practice, however, resonances are typically identified experimentally as structures in invariant mass distributions, with branching fractions of resonances determined as ratios of count rates. To make contact between these quantities it is necessary to connect line shapes and resonance parameters. In this work we propose such a connection and illustrate the formalism with detailed studies of the and resonances. Based on the line shapes inferred from the resonance parameters along these lines, expressions for partial widths and branching ratios are derived and compared to other approaches in the literature.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large class of synthetic chemicals widely used in industrial and consumer applications, known for their environmental persistence, bioaccumulation, and potential toxicity. Mounting toxicological evidence suggests that the kidney is a primary target organ for PFAS accumulation, yet human data regarding compound-specific renal effects remain limited. In this community-based prospective cohort study, we investigated the associations between serum PFAS concentrations and renal outcomes in 257 adults, including 48 with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and 209 with normal kidney function at baseline.

Background: Hospital falls represent a persistent and significant threat to safety within health care systems worldwide, impacting both patient well-being and the occupational health of health care staff. While patient falls are a primary concern, addressing fall risks for all individuals within the health care environment remains a key objective. Caregiver visibility and spatial monitoring are recognized as crucial considerations in mitigating fall-related incidents.

Objectives: Additional studies are needed on the follow-up outcomes of 1- vs 2-stent techniques in bifurcation percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI).

Methods: The authors examined the angiographic and procedural characteristics, and outcomes of 1306 bifurcation PCIs (1139 patients) performed at 6 centers between 2014 and 2024 from the PROGRESS-BIFURCATION registry.

Results: Upfront 1-stent PCI (96.
