Article Abstract

Hydrogen peroxide (HO) is a crucial chemical applied in various industry sectors. However, the current industrial anthraquinone process for HO synthesis is carbon-intensive. With sunlight and renewable electricity as energy inputs, photocatalysis and electrocatalysis have great potential for green HO production from oxygen (O) and water (HO). Herein, we review the advances in pairing two-electron O reduction and two-electron HO oxidation reactions for dual-pathway HO synthesis. The basic principles, paired redox reactions, and catalytic device configurations are introduced initially. Aligning with the energy input, the latest photocatalysts, electrocatalysts, and photo-electrocatalysts for dual-pathway HO production are discussed afterward. Finally, we outlook the research opportunities in the future. This minireview aims to provide insights and guidelines for the broad community who are interested in catalyst design and innovative technology for on-site HO synthesis.

To achieve the sustainable development goals and in response to the green development policies, many enterprises have actively incorporated corporate social responsibility (CSR) into their strategic plans in order to enhance environmental sustainability. This study explores the cognitive and emotional pathways through which perceived environmental CSR (PECSR) influences pro-environmental behavior (PEB) among employees in China's marine enterprises, based on the Cognitive-Affective Personality System theory. The research was conducted through data collection and verified through the structural equation model.

The formation and recrystallization of ice crystals during freezing causes irreversible structural damage to the dough matrix, which is characterized by the cold denaturation of the gluten protein structure and the degradation of the gluten network structure. Polysaccharides are widely used to improve the quality of frozen dough owing to their excellent water-holding and viscosity. Current research has shown that polysaccharides mitigate the physical damage of ice crystals on the gluten protein structure mainly by modifying the water status of frozen dough to inhibit the ice crystallization process.

Conductive Microneedles Loaded With Polyphenol-Engineered Exosomes Reshape Diabetic Neurovascular Niches for Chronic Wound Healing.

Diabetic wound healing remains a major clinical challenge due to the accumulation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs), reactive oxygen species (ROS), and proinflammatory cytokines under hyperglycemic conditions, which collectively impair neurovascular regeneration. Here, a biological-electrical therapeutic platform is reported by synergizing polyphenol-engineered Saccharina japonica exosomes (CA@Exos)-derived biological signals with electroconductive microneedles (pCNTs-ASA MNs)-delivered electrical cues, achieving a dual-pathway to reshape neurovascular niches during the diabetic wound healing process. CA@Exos serve as bioactive cargo to suppress AGE formation, scavenge ROS, and reverse the inflammatory microenvironment, while their intrinsic bioactivities in modulating angiogenesis and neurotrophic signaling enhanced Schwann cell-vascular endothelial cell crosstalk.

Chronic and large wound healing failures pose significant challenges in clinical practice. The major difficulty in wound healing concerns the limited efferocytic activity of dendritic cells (DCs). Focusing on the critical role of DCs efferocytosis in chronic wound healing, this study proposes a dual-pathway intervention strategy.
