Article Abstract

We present a way to encode more information in fluorescence imaging by splitting the original point spread function (PSF), which offers broadband operation and compatibility with other PSF engineering modalities and existing analysis tools. We demonstrate the approach using the 'Circulator', an add-on that encodes the fluorophore emission band into the PSF, enabling simultaneous multicolor super-resolution and single-molecule microscopy using essentially the full field of view.

Acrylamide and advanced glycation end products are two typical hazards produced simultaneously through the Maillard reaction of food. Traditional instrumental detection methods require specialized instrument operation, resulting in low detection efficiency. Here, a red-green dual fluorescence detection system combined with Nt.

We report on the new star-shaped triazatruxene (TAT) tetrad 1, where three peripheral TAT moieties connect to a central TAT through propargylic spacers. The insulating nature of the linkers results in separate, partially overlapping blue and yellow-orange emissions from the peripheral and central TATs. This renders 1 a multicolor emitter, whose emission color can be tuned by the choice of the excitation wavelength and the solvent.

DNA barcode-based immunolabeling has revolutionized single-cell protein profiling. However, conventional multiplexed imaging methods are hindered by laborious probe exchange procedures involving buffer washing-based probe removal and prolonged hybridization cycles (requiring tens of minutes to 1.5 h per cycle), which limit throughput, specificity, and universality.

The simultaneous quantification of active pharmaceutical ingredients alongside their mutagenic impurities represents a critical challenge in pharmaceutical quality control. This study presents the first multicolor analytical platform for concurrent determination of bisoprolol fumarate (BIP), amlodipine besylate (AML), and 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (HBZ), a Class 3 mutagenic impurity in BIP requiring strict regulatory monitoring. Two complementary methodologies were developed: high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC)-densitometry and Firefly Algorithm-optimized partial least squares (FA-PLS) spectrophotometry, both aligned with green analytical chemistry (GAC) and white analytical chemistry (WAC) principles.

Nanoparticles (NPs) exhibit great promise in cancer diagnosis and treatment as drug carriers, imaging probes, and therapeutic agents. The surface ligands of NPs play a crucial role in determining their accumulation at the tumor site, thereby affecting the overall theranostic effectiveness. Here, we report a precise technique for the direct comparison of NP deposition within a singular tumor model by surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) encoding.
