Background: There is growing scientific evidence supporting the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance breast cancer screening by improving the accuracy and efficiency of mammography interpretation. Aligned with this, several empirical studies, predominantly quantitative, have explored lay women's perceptions of AI in breast screening, often framing attitudes in binary terms-positive or negative. This approach can overlook the complexity and nuance of women's views.

Reliable and comparable data from multiple laboratories are essential for networks relying on reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR)-based surveillance of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) genetic material in wastewater. Large-scale networks, such as those spanning Canada and the United States, depend on multiple laboratories deploying varied methods. However, the comparability of these methods and implications for data interoperability have not been rigorously examined.

Towards Model-Informed Precision Dosing of Cyclosporine in Adult Renal Transplantation: Assessing Population Pharmacokinetic Models and Multi-Model Strategies.

Eur J Pharm Sci

August 2025

Division of Child Healthcare, Department of Pediatrics, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, 430030, China. Electronic address:

Background: Cyclosporine's narrow therapeutic index and pharmacokinetic variability challenge its optimal dosing in renal transplantation. Model-informed precision dosing (MIPD), utilizing population pharmacokinetic (popPK) models and Bayesian forecasting, can enhance dosing optimization and improve clinical outcomes. This study evaluated the predictive performance of published popPK models and multi-model strategies for cyclosporine, using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) data and full pharmacokinetic (PK) profiles.
