Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) carry intact tumor molecular information, making them invaluable for personalized cancer monitoring. However, conventional capture methods, relying on passive diffusion, suffer from low efficiency due to insufficient collision frequency, severely limiting clinical utility. Herein, a magnetic micromotor-functionalized DNA-array hunter (MMDA hunter) is developed by integrating enzyme-propelled micromotors, magnetic nanoparticles, and nucleic acid aptamers into distinct functional partitions of a DNA tile self-assembly structure.

Enhancing singlet oxygen generation for photosensitizers in aqueous media can markedly improve the efficacy of photochemical therapy. Herein, triblock polymers composed of pyropheophorbide a photosensitizer (PPa), polyethylene glycol, and phospholipid are synthesized. These triblock polymers, driven by hydrophilic-hydrophobic interactions, spontaneously fold into an amphiphilic structure and further self-assemble into nanomicelles.

The selectivity, central nervous system progression and drug-resistant mutations have raised significant concerns regarding the effectiveness of ROS1 inhibitors. Novel entities have been designed through precise molecular simulation. Introducing larger biphenyl groups in the hydrophobic region enhances ROS1 selectivity and improves lipid solubility for better blood-brain barrier penetration.

Epithelial cells are tightly connected to one another by intercellular junctions which prevent much of their motility, and have distinct apical-basal cell polarity, with their basal pole facing the basement membrane; they form mono- or multilayered sheet-like structures, and establish the borders of tissues and organs. In contrast, mesenchymal cells fill the spaces delimitated by other tissues, do not form stable contacts with other cells, are embedded within the extracellular matrix with which their entire surface interacts, and have definite locomotory capabilities. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) occurs when an epithelium loses its distinguishing characteristics, and acquires mesenchymal traits.
