The precise regulation of single-atom catalysts (SACs) with the desired local chemical environment is vital to elucidate the relationship between the SACs structure and the catalytic performance. The debate on the effect of the local coordination environment is quite complicated even for the SACs with the same composition and chemical nature, calling for increased attention on the regulation of the second coordination shell. For oxide-supported SACs, it remains a significant challenge to precisely manipulate the second coordination shell of single atoms supported on oxides due to the structural robustness of oxides. Here, Ir single atoms were anchored on NiO supports via different bonding strategies, resulting in the diverse Ir-O-Ni coordination numbers for Ir sites. Specifically, Ir/NiO, Ir-NiO, and Ir@NiO SACs with increasing Ir-O-Ni coordination numbers of 3, 4, and 5 were synthesized, respectively. We found that the activity of the three samples towards oxygen evolution reaction (OER) exhibited a volcano-shaped relationship with the Ir-O-Ni coordination number, with Ir-NiO showing the lowest overpotential of 225 mV at 10 mA cm. Mechanism investigations indicate that the moderate coordination number of Ir-O-Ni in Ir-NiO creates the higher occupied Ir d orbital, weakening the adsorption strength for *OOH intermediates and thereby enhancing the OER activity.

The targeted formation of low-symmetry coordination cages represents a significant design challenge but offers the potential to engineer bespoke molecular hosts with precision. In this work, we have combined the design principles of geometric complementarity and coordination sphere engineering to direct the site- and orientation-selective self-assembly of heteroleptic PdL L -type coordination cages from low-symmetry ligands. The effects of different combinations of heterocyclic donors and their locations within the cage structures on isomer distributions were studied, providing insights on shifts in the balance between non-covalent interactions in the first and second coordination spheres of the cages.

Background: Herein, we report on the initial development, progress, and future plans for an autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) system designed to manage major depressive disorder (MDD). The system is a web-based, patient-facing conversational AI that collects medical history, provides presumed diagnosis, recommends treatment, and coordinates care for patients with MDD.
Methods: The system includes seven components, five of which are complete and two are in development.

This study examines China's national standard development from 2001 to 2023. Using machine splitting and location assignment technology, the Dagum Gini coefficient and its decomposition methods, and traditional and spatial Markov chain estimation methods, we identify the spatiotemporal disparities and dynamic transition characteristics of the contribution levels to national standard development across China's eight comprehensive economic zones. The findings provide a reference for promoting regional coordinated sustainable development and high-quality economic transformation.

This article addresses the fixed-time leaderless cluster synchronization of spatiotemporal community networks (SCNs) characterized by nonidentical node dynamics and reaction-diffusion feature. First, a signed SCN with reaction-diffusion effect is formulated, where the sign-based coupling is introduced to capture the dynamics of coopetition interactions among different communities. Second, to ensure the invariance of the synchronous manifold, an improved interdegree balance condition is proposed as a prerequisite for achieving cluster synchronization of the community network.
