The natural functions of wool fiber, such as natural air permeability, dryness of skin contact, have advantages in the development of sports fabric. So far, the development of unidirectional moisture transfer fabric with high content wool is not yet mature. This paper novelly designed a ply yarn formed by different content of wool and nylon yarn and a double-sided knitted fabric with different wool content in the inner and outer layers based on unidirectional moisture transfer principles.

The allosteric modulation of the structural dynamics of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) duplexes as a function of distance from the site of a minor groove binding ligand is reported. Time-resolved temperature-jump infrared spectroscopy is used to interrogate the impact of binding a pyrrole-imidazole polyamide to dsDNA sequences 8-14 base-pairs in length. Our results demonstrate that the binding of the hairpin polyamide to its target site (5'-WWGTACW-3'; W = A/T) causes a marked suppression of structural dynamics, such as end fraying, with suppression observed in both the 3' and 5' directions.

To identify the safest and most effective knot-tying sequences for cruroplasty after gastric sleeve surgery, aiming to reduce recurrence risk. A total of 38 knot-tying sequences were tested using a dynamometer and nonabsorbable sutures. These were divided into four groups: Silk 0 (8 sequences), Silk 2/0 (12), Nylon 1 (12), and Polypropylene 2/0 (14).

The tip-growing robot, constructed from flexible film or nylon and powered by fluid pressure, has exhibited superior motion performance and high adaptability in complex and restricted environments for detection and manipulation. However, the insufficient stiffness caused by its flexibility limits its ability to carry heavy loads in long and complex three-dimensional spaces. To address this, the study proposed a novel layer jamming mechanism inspired by the subcutaneous scales of freshwater eels.

Investigation of Halogenated Metallic Phthalocyanine (InPcCl and FCuPc)-Based Electrodes and Palm Substrate for Organic Solid-State Supercapacitor Fabrication.

In this work, we report on the fabrication of a novel Organic Double-Layer Supercapacitor (ODLSC) using recycled palm as the substrate and electrodes based on halogenated indium and copper phthalocyanines. The electrodes were characterized using Reflectance, the Kulbeka-Munk function, and Fluorescence. Finally, their electrical behavior was evaluated, and the results were compared with those obtained for a more conventional supercapacitor fabricated on polyethylene terephthalate substrate and using indium tin oxide film for electrodes.
