Background And Aims: Crop wild relatives (CWRs) are key resources for enhancing agricultural resilience, providing genetic traits that can improve pest resistance, abiotic stress tolerance, and nutritional composition in domesticated crops. Within the mustard family (Brassicaceae) this is especially significant in the Brassiceae tribe, which includes economically important genera for agriculture such as Brassica and Sinapis. However, while breeding programmes have historically focused on major crops within this tribe, the potential of their wild relatives, particularly for underutilised and minor crops, remains insufficiently explored.

Assessment of industrial fault diagnosis using rough approximations of fuzzy hypersoft sets.

PLoS One

September 2025

Department of Maths and Computer Science, Faculty of Science, University of Kinshasa, Kinshasa, The Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Reliable and timely fault diagnosis is critical for the safe and efficient operation of industrial systems. However, conventional diagnostic methods often struggle to handle uncertainties, vague data, and interdependent multi-criteria parameters, which can lead to incomplete or inaccurate results. Existing techniques are limited in their ability to manage hierarchical decision structures and overlapping information under real-world conditions.

The widespread dissemination of fake news presents a critical challenge to the integrity of digital information and erodes public trust. This urgent problem necessitates the development of sophisticated and reliable automated detection mechanisms. This study addresses this gap by proposing a robust fake news detection framework centred on a transformer-based architecture.

NU-1000/Cu Nanocomposite-Immobilized Organophosphate Hydrolase for the Cascade Conversion of Methyl Parathion to 4-Aminophenol.

State Key Laboratory of Synthetic Biology, School of Synthetic Biology and Biomanufacturing, Frontiers Science Center for Synthetic Biology (MOE), and Key Laboratory of Systems Bioengineering (MOE), Tianjin University, Tianjin 300350, China.

Effective degradation and detoxification of the highly toxic organophosphate pesticide methyl parathion (MP) are important for pollution treatment and sustainable development. Enzymatic hydrolysis of MP by organophosphate hydrolase (OPH) is an effective way. However, hydrolytic product 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) remains environmentally hazardous.

Background: Despite advances in HIV care, viral load suppression (VLS) among adolescents living with HIV (ALHIV) in Uganda continue to lag behind that of adults, even with the introduction of dolutegravir (DTG)-based regimens, the Youth and Adolescent Peer Supporter (YAPS) model, and community-based approaches. Understanding factors associated with HIV viral load non-suppression in this population is critical to inform HIV treatment policy. This study assessed the prevalence and predictors of viral load non-suppression among ALHIV aged 10-19 years on DTG-based ART in Soroti City, Uganda.
