Objectives: The primary aim of this study was to compare resource utilization between lower and higher-risk brief resolved unexplained events (BRUE) in the general (GED) and pediatric (PED) emergency departments.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective chart review of BRUE cases from a large health system over 6-and-a-half years. Our primary outcome was the count of diagnostic tests per encounter.

Tiredness may be associated with increased or decreased sexual experience and behavior while fatigue seems to have a predominantly negative effect, although evidence is scarce. This ecological momentary assessment study is the first to examine associations between tiredness or fatigue and concurrent / subsequent sexual desire or sexual arousal and previous / subsequent sexual activity in daily life, including event-based measurements and considering gender differences. Healthy heterosexual individuals (n = 63), aged between 19 and 32 years and in a relationship, indicated their tiredness, general fatigue, physical fatigue, sexual desire, and sexual arousal on an iPod seven times daily over 14 days, and any event-based occurrences of sexual activity.

Objective: Rigid suction-coagulation probes constrain the wrist-like articulation that is central to robotic surgery. We therefore designed a 5-mm single-use flexible suction ball coagulator (flex-SBC) with a modified core design to restore dexterity and assessed its mechanical performance and early clinical feasibility, including the effect of the common robotic gripping strategies on suction flow.
Methods: Preclinical.

Background: Minimally invasive pancreaticoduodenectomy (MIPD) is used more commonly, but this surge is mostly based on observational data. This meta-analysis aimed to compare the short-term outcomes between MIPD and open pancreaticoduodenectomy (OPD) using data collected from randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
Methods: We searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, and Web of Science databases for RCTs comparing MIPD and OPD published before December 10, 2024.
