VSW210 was compared with CK-I3-6 to examine the taxonomic relationship between the two type strains. In phylogenetic trees drawn using whole genome sequences and 16S rRNA gene sequences, VSW210 and CK-I3-6 clade together and showed a 99.6 % 16S rRNA sequence similarity. The average amino acid identity (AAI), average nucleotide identity (ANIb and ANIm) and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values between VSW210 and CK-I3-6 were below 97.5, 97.4, 98.4 and 85.1±2.5 %, respectively, all of which were greater than the species delineation threshold AAI value (95.5 %), ANI value (95-96 %) and dDDH value (70 %). Most phenotypic features between both species were almost identical, although there were some differences. The present results show that is a later heterotypic synonym of .

Background: Systemic inflammation is a critical clinical condition regularly observed in the context of surgery-induced trauma or infection. Systemic inflammation induces an ubiquitous activation of the vasculature and vascular dysfunction related to organ damage and adverse outcomes. The dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4) modulates the receptor preferences and activity of a multitude of humoral substrates mediating the systemic inflammatory response.

Background: Whether stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) for brain metastases (BrM) have a time window for synergistic efficacy and toxicity is unclear. We examined this question in a large, contemporary cohort of patients who received concurrent SRS and ICB.
Methods: Patients who received SRS for intact BrM within 1 month before to 6 months after an ICB cycle at a single center from 2018 to 2023 were included if they had no prior whole-brain radiotherapy or SRS to the same BrM.

Background: Older adults with subjective cognitive decline (SCD) and/or elevated neurofilament light (NfL), a neurodegeneration biomarker, are at increased risk of dementia. Non-pharmacological interventions offer a promising strategy for reducing dementia risk, yet none have utilized NfL as a marker of response in dementia prevention trials.
Objective: To investigate the effects of two non-pharmacological interventions on NfL in older adults with SCD.

Lignin, one of the three major components of lignocellulosic biomass, is a promising feedstock for value-added bioproducts. However, its utilization is limited by its intrinsic heterogeneity and recalcitrance. Laccases are oxidoreductases that can act on a wide range of phenolic and aromatic compounds.

Unraveling the underlying mechanisms at the origin of ultra-low thermal conductivity in pristine crystals is of central relevance to designing new functional materials. Here, a study of thermal conductivity κ(T) in an extended temperature range (1.5-400 K) is reported in the single-crystalline bismuthate perovskite BaBiO.
