A 7-year-and-8-month-old, male degu (Octodon degus) with anorexia, depression, and labored breathing was found to have a thoracic effusion and enlargement of the right testis on radiographic examination. Despite treatment, the animal died. At necropsy, hepatomegaly, splenomegaly, and multifocal nodules on the intestinal serosa and mesentery were observed. Histologically, the foci were densely cellular invasive neoplasms composed of sheets of round to polygonal cells, with occasional multinucleated giant cells. Immunohistochemically, the neoplastic cells were immunopositive for ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1, human leukocyte antigen-DR, and CD204. These findings were consistent with disseminated histiocytic sarcoma.

Histoid leprosy is an uncommon clinicopathological variant of Hansen's disease, characterized by distinct immunological, clinical, histological, and bacteriological features. It is regarded as an intensified form of multibacillary leprosy, marked by an enhanced cellular and humoral immune response. Clinically, this condition typically presents with well-defined papules and nodules on otherwise normal-appearing skin, frequently located on the face, trunk, and extremities of the body.

Primary histiocytic sarcoma of the central nervous system is an extremely rare malignancy, with only 43 cases reported to date. It often presents diagnostic challenges due to its rarity and similarities with other central nervous system tumors, particularly glioblastoma. We report a case of primary central nervous system histiocytic sarcoma in a 72-year-old woman, one of the older patients among the reported cases.

Non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis (NLCH) is a broad disorder encompassing different diseases arising from dermal dendritic histiocytes. Xanthogranuloma (XG) is a cutaneous subtype of NLCH that can be present in isolated or multiple locations. If localized, XGs can be treated with surgical resection or radiation; however, if they present more disseminated, they are poorly responsive to traditional chemotherapeutic agents.

An 11-year-old, Damaraland mole-rat queen died after several months of abdominal distension with no other clinical signs, and a necropsy was performed. Grossly, numerous red-white, smooth masses, ranging from a few millimeters to 1 cm in diameter, were widely scattered across the surfaces of the diaphragm, mesentery, and peritoneum. The pulmonary hilar, mediastinal, mesenteric, and renal lymph nodes were enlarged.
