Article Abstract

Objectives: To compare the clinical effect between inverted T-shaped herb-separated moxibustion combined with western medication and simple western medication on chronic pelvic pain(CPP)in sequelae of pelvic inflammatory diseases.

Methods: A total of 60 patients with CPP in sequelae of pelvic inflammatory diseases were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was given ibuprofen tablets 10 days before menstruation, 0.2 g each time, once a day for 10 days. After menstruation, the medication was stopped, and the treatment was given for 3 menstrual cycles. On the basis of the treatment in the control group, the observation group was treated with inverted T-shaped herb-separated moxibustion at the connection between Zhongwan(CV 12)and Zhongji(CV 3), and the connection between Zigong(EX-CA 1)on both sides. The treatment was performed once a week, with an interval of 6 days. The moxibustion was stopped during the menstrual period, the treatment was given for 3 menstrual cycles. Before and after treatment, the visual analogue scale(VAS)score of lower abdominal and lumbosacral pain, local symptom (uterine tenderness, adnexal tenderness and uterosacral ligament tenderness) score and quality of life assessment (QOL) score of the two groups were observed.

Results: After treatment, the lower abdominal and lumbosacral pain VAS scores, the local symptom scores of uterine tenderness, adnexal tenderness, uterosacral ligament tenderness and total scores in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(<0.01).The lower abdominal and lumbosacral pain VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(<0.01),and the changes of local symptom scores of uterine tenderness, adnexal tenderness and uterosacral ligament tenderness and total score in the observation group were greater than those in the control group(<0.01). After treatment, the QOL scores of the two groups were higher than those before treatment(<0.01), and the score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(<0.01).

Conclusions: Inverted T-shaped herb-separated moxibustion combined with western medication can effectively reduce the pain in patients with CPP in sequelae of pelvic inflammatory diseases, relieve the local symptoms, improve the quality of life, and the curative effect is better than western medication alone.

Rapid and efficient screening of foodborne pathogens is crucial for preventing bacterial spread and food poisoning. However, developing a multi-detection method that is easy to operate, offers good stability, and achieves high efficiency remains an enormous challenge. Existing multiplexed nucleic acid detection methods suffer from complex designs, leading to complicated operations, and non-robust sample introduction, causing primer/probe crosstalk and false-positive results.

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of extraperitoneal robot-assisted laparoscopic modified Y-V plasty (LMYVP) in the treatment of refractory bladder neck contracture (BNC).

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data on 10 cases of refractory BNC after transurethral resection of the prostate between September 2020 and January 2023, all with a history of recurrent urethral dilatation and at least two failures in transurethral surgical treatment of scarring. After definite diagnosis and removal of some of the scar tissues to flatten the elevated bladder neck under the cystoscope, we performed robot-assisted LMYVP using the da Vinci Si robotic system and a four-port extraperitoneal approach.

Experimental and numerical investigation of the water-entry behavior of an inverted T-shaped beam.

Objects entering water, characterized by brief and high-peak impact forces, have been extensively investigated in scientific research. However, the specific water entry process during docking downstream of the launching ship lift chamber involves T-shaped beams entering the water at a constant velocity with a deadrise angle of zero degrees. The hydrodynamic load mechanisms during this process remain not well understood.

Parvoviruses have evolved to possess a linear single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) genome ranging from 4 to 6.3 kb. Adeno-associated virus (AAV), a member of the Parvoviridae family, contains approximately 5 kb of linear ssDNA within its capsid.

We describe a new species of leaflitter frog of the genus from southern Ecuador, province of Zamora Chinchipe. The new species is diagnosed from all its congeners by having one or two tubercles on the upper eyelids; distal phalanges strongly T-shaped; phalangeal formula on hands 2-2-3-3; phalangeal formula on feet 2-2-3-4-3; heel with a small subconical tubercle; disc on all toes with papillae; dorsum brown or brown with gray, with V-shaped inverted or scattered irregular darker marks. We include a detailed description of its osteology and a study of its phylogenetic relationships.
