Background: Gradual correction of lower-limb angular deformities using external fixators such as the Taylor Spatial Frame (TSF) is a well-established technique for addressing complex, multiplanar deformities. A common yet understudied adjunct to this method is the use of a distal tibio-fibular syndesmotic screw to stabilize the ankle mortise during correction. Despite being frequently practiced, the necessity and efficacy of this intervention remain unclear.

This article explores the multifaceted challenges and potential strategies for addressing corrective rape in South African townships. Through a critical review of existing literature, this study highlights how these intersecting forces hinder progress while also identifying opportunities for intervention.

Methods: This retrospective study included 213 ASD patients who underwent fusion from the lower thoracic spine (T9 or T10) to the pelvis. T10PA was measured on 6-week postoperative radiographs as the angle between the center of T10 and the hip center, and from the hip center to the midpoint of the S1 upper endplate.

Background And Objectives: Moderate-to-severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) can result in disability across physical, social, and cognitive domains. The Glasgow Outcome Scale-Extended (GOSE), which evaluates global function, is the most frequently used TBI outcome measure. However, the GOSE may not capture all domains of recovery.
