Aberrant activation of fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs) plays a critical role in tumorigenesis across multiple cancer types, driving the development of various FGFR inhibitors. Despite clinical advances, therapeutic efficacy remains limited by the emergence of drug resistance, primarily mediated by gatekeeper mutations in FGFRs. To overcome this challenge, we designed and synthesized a novel series of 7-(1-methyl-1-indole-3-yl)-5-pyrrolo[2,3-]pyrazine derivatives as covalent pan-FGFR inhibitors targeting both wild-type and gatekeeper mutants.

BackgroundNurse leaders play a vital role in fostering a health-promoting work environment. Despite the increasing recognition of the importance of their roles, studies focusing specifically on the actions they employ to foster such environments remain limited.Research aimThe aim of this study is to explore and enhance understanding of the actions nurse leaders employ to develop a health-promoting work environment.

A frequent goal of phage biology is to quantify how well a phage kills a population of host bacteria. Unfortunately, traditional methods to quantify phage success can be time-consuming, limiting the throughput of experiments. Here, we use theory to show how the effects of phages on their hosts can be quantified using bacterial population dynamics measured in a high-throughput microplate reader (automated spectrophotometer).

Learning when to initiate or withhold actions is essential for survival, requiring the integration of past experiences with new information to adapt to changing environments. The prelimbic cortex (PL) plays a central role in this process, with a stable PL neuronal population (ensemble) recruited during operant reward learning to encode response execution. However, it is unknown how this established reward-learning ensemble adapts to changing reward contingencies, such as reward omission during extinction.

Forest fires have a significant impact on forest fauna, killing not only mammals and birds, but also less noticeable representatives of forest fauna - insects. Existing research have mainly studied the effects on vertebrate taxa, but the data on the effects of fires on the number of insects living in forests is currently insufficient to cover all the groups. The research presented in this paper examines the immediate impact of forest fires on the number of adults in mosquito populations (Culicidae) in burned areas of the boreal forest.
