While there is a growing body of literature examining platform dependence and its implications for mental health, much of the research has focused on gig workers with small sample sizes. The lack of large-scale quantitative research, particularly using longitudinal representative data, limits a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic relationship between platform dependence and mental distress. This study uses nationally representative data from the UK and fixed effects models to explore the heterogeneity of gig work, specifically examining differences in mental distress between high-dependence workers (those solely engaged in gig work) and low-dependence workers (those also employed in other jobs).

Introduction: The scope of integrated care has evolved and broadened the past decades from specialist pathways to incorporate a more holistic approach. To identify such trends in evidence and knowledge, we analysed published papers in the International Journal of Integrated Care over a 10-year period.

Methods: From an initial set of 5.

Peri-implantitis (PI) is a major cause of implant restoration failure, necessitating therapeutic strategies that integrate bone regeneration and anti-inflammatory effects. Despite advances in treatment, no existing agents simultaneously address both objectives. Exosomes (Exos), as key mediators of intercellular communication, have demonstrated dual anti-inflammatory and osteogenic capacities through microRNA (miRNA) delivery; however, their potential in PI therapy remains unexplored.

Background: Hexavalent chromium ions (Cr(VI)), a notorious toxic heavy metal pollutant with proven carcinogenicity, endangers human health and the environment. Meanwhile, l-ascorbic acid (L-AA), a vital biological antioxidant, has abnormal levels closely tied to various diseases. Developing efficient synchronous detection methods for these two key analytes is of great value in clinical and environmental monitoring.
