The results of an optoelectronic system-frequency-shifted feedback (FSF) laser experimental examination are presented. The considered FSF laser is seeded only with optical amplifier spontaneous emission (ASE) and operates in the mode-locked regime, whereby the output radiation is sequence of short pulses with a repetition rate determined by the delay time in its optical feedback circuit. In the frequency domain, the spectrum of such a pulse sequence is an optical frequency comb (OFC). These OFCs we call initial. We consider the possibility of tunable acousto-optic (AO) dual and quad-comb frequency spacing downconversion in the FSF laser seeded with ASE and operating in the mode-locked regime. The examined system applies a single frequency shifting loop with single AO tunable filter as the frequency shifter that is fed with several radio frequency signals simultaneously. The initial OFCs with frequency spacing of about 6.5 MHz may be obtained in the wide spectral range and their width, envelope shape and position in the optical spectrum may be tuned. The dual-combs are obtained with a pair of initial OFCs aroused by two various ultrasound waves in the acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF). The dual-combs frequency spacing is determined by the frequency difference of the signals applied to the AOTF piezoelectric transducer and can be tuned simply. The quad-combs are obtained with three initial OFCs, forming a pair of dual-combs, appearing when three ultrasound frequencies feed the AOTF transducer. The quad-combs frequency spacing is defined by the difference between the frequency spacing of dual-combs. Quad-combs with more than 5000 spectral lines and tunable frequency spacing are observed. The successive frequency downconversion gives the possibility to reduce the OFC frequency spacing form several MHz for initial OFC to tens of kHz for quad-combs.

Accurate thermodynamic calculations for aluminum alkyls require proper treatment of low-frequency vibrations poorly described by the harmonic approximation (HA). Here, we present a systematic investigation of hindered rotation and out-of-plane bending in aluminum trichloride (ATC) and its methyl derivatives, employing advanced computational methods to perform anharmonic entropy corrections, such as torsional eigenvalue summation (TES), the extended two-dimensional torsion method (E2DT), the multi-structural approximation with torsional anharmonicity (MS-T), and Fourier grid Hamiltonian (FGH). Our results reveal distinct structure-dependent behaviors: monomers exhibit near-free methyl rotations where the HA overestimates entropy by 20-30 J K mol, while dimers show more hindered rotations adequately described by the HA around room temperature.

Objectives: This study aimed to compare the psychological effects of real and virtual greenspaces and identify key environmental features that contribute to perceived restorativeness and mood changes in university students.
Study Design: A mixed-methods crossover experimental design was used to evaluate psychological responses to three types of greenspaces: real campus greenspaces, virtual campus greenspaces, and virtual forest greenspaces.
Methods: Thirty-five college students participated in three 20-min greenspace exposures, spaced one week apart in randomized order.

Methods: A total of 151,301 pregnancies in China from January 1, 2010, to December 31, 2021 were included, and 8,222 subjects matched their primary and second pregnancy information. Join point regression was used to analyze the temporal trends of adverse outcomes with maternal age and birth spacing.

The enjoyment of music can be severely disrupted when instruments or voices are out of tune with each other. Both hearing loss and aging may degrade pitch perception, potentially affecting the ability to detect mistuning. For younger listeners with normal hearing, mistuning perception in music relies on both beats (amplitude fluctuations between closely spaced frequency components) and inharmonicity (non-integer frequency relationships between components from different sources).

An array of micro-ramp vortex generators (MRVGs) is deployed on the bottom of the ship's hull just before the inlet, aiming to mitigate flow separation on the ramp wall at low inlet velocity ratios (IVR). Four parameters, including height, wedge angle, side length, and spanwise spacing, were analyzed using the numerical methods. Through parametric screening, the optimal height ranges from 20 to 40% of the hull boundary layer thickness upstream of the inlet, while wedge angle and length have negligible effects.
