The aim of the present guidance paper is to update the previous ENETS guidelines on well differentiated appendiceal neuroendocrine tumours (NET), providing practical guidance for the diagnosis and management of appendiceal NET (aNET); poorly differentiated neoplasms are dealt with in a separate guidance paper. This paper is structured on a question-answer format in order to also address controversial issues and areas where uncertainty regarding the management and follow-up of aNET exists. All recommendations are offered on the basis of the best available evidence, along with the authors' experiences in managing these neoplasms. Each recommendation for treatment will provide a level of evidence and grade of recommendation as per the GRADE system (adapted in Infectious Disease Society of United States Public Health Service grading system).

Background: During intense exercise, anaerobic metabolism predominantly produces energy in the body, resulting in lactic acid (LA) accumulation, which contributes to muscle fatigue and soreness and may also impair neurological and cardiovascular functions. In endurance sports, the lactate threshold (LT) is a key indicator of an athlete's capacity to clear and utilize LA, directly influencing athletic performance and endurance. Therefore, LA detection is crucial for assessing the physical condition of both athletes and the general population, as well as for optimizing training programs.

The spatial prediction of edible fungi is essential for the conservation and sustainable use of non-wood forest products (NWFPs) and contributes to the understanding of fungal biodiversity in forest ecosystems. This study compares multiple species distribution modeling (SDM) techniques to predict the spatial distribution of Lactarius deliciosus (L.) Gray in the Refahiye and Tekçam Forest Planning Units (FPUs) in Türkiye.

Dialdehyde polysaccharides (DAPs) were prepared as tanning agents via periodate oxidation, intentionally omitting ethanol precipitation to maintain molecular weight polydispersity, thus optimizing tanning performance. However, the presence of formaldehyde in these DAPs compromised their environmental sustainability. This study systematically explored the impact of polysaccharide structures on formaldehyde formation in DAPs.

Stable, treatment-resistant Cu complexes in practical wastewater are frequently neglected. Positively charged lysozyme amyloid fibrils (AF), however, exhibit unexplored potential for their adsorption. This study engineered an amyloid fibril-chitosan composite (AF-CS) xerogel and evaluated its adsorption performance in three systems: free Cu, Cu-Citrate binary, and Cu-EDTA binary.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Fever is a prevalent clinical symptom and is usually caused by inflammation or infection. Persistent high fever can lead to delirium, coma and convulsions, causing brain damage. Angong Niuhuang Pill (ANP), a traditional Chinese emergency medicine, has been employed in clinical practice for centuries, with well-documented antipyretic effects.
