Background: In Vietnam, the incidence of transient ischemic attack (TIA) or ischemic stroke has increased in recent years due to lifestyle changes. Carotid stenosis is a common cause of TIA/ischemic stroke. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and identify risk factors for ipsilateral internal carotid artery (ICA) stenosis in patients with transient ischemic attack (TIA) or ischemic stroke.

Carbonaceous asteroids are the source of the most primitive meteorites and represent leftover planetesimals that formed from ice and dust in the outer Solar System and may have delivered volatiles to the terrestrial planets. Understanding the aqueous activity of asteroids is key to deciphering their thermal, chemical and orbital evolution, with implications for the origin of water on the terrestrial planets. Analyses of the objects, in particular pristine samples returned from asteroid Ryugu, have provided detailed information on fluid-rock interactions within a few million years after parent-body formation.

Background: Pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas (PPGLs) are rare catecholamine-secreting neuroendocrine tumors originating from the embryonic neural crest. Approximately 30% of PPGLs are hereditary and are frequently associated with genetic syndromes, including neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). Composite PPGLs, which include components of both PPGLs and related tumors such as ganglioneuromas, are extremely rare in NF1 patients.

Isolated ectopic secretion of corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) is an exceedingly rare cause of Cushing's syndrome (CS), accounting for fewer than 1% of cases. Ectopic CS is an uncommon but potentially life-threatening condition that often necessitates urgent diagnostic evaluation and treatment. Hormonal testing may suggest a pituitary origin, complicating the diagnostic process.

Metastatic renal osteosarcoma is a rare entity. We report a case of a 52-year-old male postright nephrectomy status presented to us with metastatic renal osteosarcoma. 18-fluorine- fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) avid lesions were seen in the right renal bed with extension to adjacent hepatic parenchyma.
