Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT), nestled directly against the beating heart, is a fascinating paradox in cardiovascular biology. In health, this unique fat depot functions as a metabolic ally and immune modulator, safeguarding the heart through energy support, anti-inflammatory actions, and mechanical cushioning. Yet, under pathological conditions, EAT transforms from a protective "heart-guardian" into a destructive "heart-harmer," releasing pro-inflammatory mediators, driving oxidative stress, and fueling cardiovascular diseases like coronary artery disease (CAD) and atrial fibrillation (AF).

Deciphering the intricate interplay between the three-dimensional geometrical conformation of molecules and their thermodynamic properties is a central quest in molecular chemistry, with far-reaching implications spanning diverse domains from molecular biology to medicine. In this study, we present a computational framework termed 3D molecular structure enhanced (3DMSE) that seamlessly integrates the rich structural information inherent in 3D molecular geometries with state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to enable highly precise and computationally efficient prediction of crucial quantum chemical properties. The foundation of the 3DMSE approach lies in an equivariant learning module that adeptly captures the subtle geometric intricacies of molecular conformers while ensuring invariance to rotations and permutations.

Parkinson's disease (PD) stands as the second most prevalent neurodegenerative disorder, impacting a global population estimated between 6 to 10 million individuals. The condition primarily arises from a dopamine deficiency and the presence of α-synuclein, forming Lewy bodies in the substantia nigra pars compacta (SNcp). Despite the ongoing quest to unravel the precise pathophysiological mechanisms underlying PD, recent literature reviews posit that heightened activation of the Abelson non-receptor tyrosine kinase(c-Abl), in brain tissues plays a pivotal role in neurodegeneration observed in PD patients.

The quest to delve into high-nuclearity molecular metal-oxo clusters and unravel their reactivity presents a significant challenge in chemistry and materials science. In this work, we synthesized an unprecedented bowknot-like selenotungstates, [CeSeWO(OH)(HO)(mal)] (, Hmal = dl-malic acid) via an assembly strategy. The three building units, including tetravacant Keggin-{SeW}, bivacant Dawson-{SeW}, and trivacant Keggin-{SeW}, were self-assembled by the connection of {W}, independent {SeO} fragments, and seven mutually isolated Ce ions to form the unique asymmetric structure, which was further extended to the bowknot-like dimeric structure and the 1D chain structure by symmetry.

Oral cancer, particularly oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), poses a formidable challenge in global health, urging the quest for innovative therapeutic interventions. Our study delved into exploring the anticancer efficacy of nirtetralin against OSCC cells, focusing keenly on deciphering its mode of action and pharmacokinetic attributes. Employing the MTT assay, we discerned a discernible, time-dependent suppression of KB cells with escalating doses of nirtetralin.
