A potential complication of complex endovascular procedures is retained foreign bodies such as fragmented catheters, wires, stents, or sheaths in the intravascular space. Different techniques are available for retrieval of intravascular foreign bodies including snares, forceps, baskets, tip-deflecting wires, and balloon catheters. The aim of this article is to describe our experience in which a lost large intravascular sheath was retrieved using balloon assistance. We also provide a review of different techniques used for intravascular large sheath retrieval and methods to avoid this complication during endovascular procedures such as complex inferior vena cava filter removal.

Purpose: This study aimed to report and characterize bilateral renal artery (RA) variations observed during cadaveric dissection and to evaluate these findings in the context of embryological development and morphometric analysis.
Case Presentation: During routine anatomical dissection of an 87-year-old Caucasian male cadaver, bilateral variations in the renal arteries were identified. On the right side, two renal arteries (RRA1 and RRA2) were observed, each giving rise to presegmental and segmental branches.

Mixed-integer (MI) quadratic models subject to quadratic constraints, known as All- Quadratic MI Programs, constitute a challenging class of NP-complete optimization problems. The particular scenario of unbounded integers defines a subclass that holds the distinction of being even undecidable. This complexity suggests a possible soft-spot for Mathematical Programming (MP) techniques, which otherwise constitute a good choice to treat MI problems.

A 12-month-old female presented with a friable, hemorrhagic papule on the right lateral inferior eyelid, clinically consistent with a pyogenic granuloma. Although pyogenic granulomas are known to bleed, the extent of hemorrhage in this case was unusual and occurred after minor trauma. The patient's father, an emergency medicine resident, injected lidocaine with epinephrine and applied pressure at home to control the bleeding.

Background: To evaluate the ganglion cell complex thickness in patients taking oral hydroxychloroquine.
Methods: In this hospital-based, cross-sectional, non-interventional, comparative study, 87 eyes of 87 patients taking hydroxychloroquine were recruited. All the patients underwent complete ophthalmological evaluation along with dilated fundus examination.
