In this manuscript, we have numerically investigated and experimentally verified the six-element split ring resonator and circular patch-shaped multiple input, multiple output antenna operating in the 1-25 GHz band. MIMO antennas are analyzed in terms of several physical parameters, such as reflectance, gain, directivity, VSWR, and electric field distribution. The parameters of the MIMO antenna, for instance, the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), channel capacity loss (CCL), the total active reflection coefficient (TARC), directivity gain (DG), and mean effective gain (MEG), are also investigated for identification of a suitable range of these parameters for multichannel transmission capacity. Ultrawideband operation at 10.83 GHz is possible for the theoretically designed and practically executed antenna with the return loss and gain values of -19 dB and -28 dBi, respectively. Overall, the antenna offers minimum return loss values of -32.74 dB for the operating band of 1.92 to 9.81 GHz with a bandwidth of 6.89 GHz. The antennas are also investigated in terms of a continuous ground patch and a scattered rectangular patch. The proposed results are highly applicable for the ultrawideband operating MIMO antenna application in satellite communication with C/X/Ku/K bands.

We experimentally and numerically study the collapse dynamics of a quantum vortex in a two-dimensional atomic superfluid following a fast interaction ramp from repulsion to attraction. We find the conditions and timescales for a superfluid vortex to radially converge into a quasistationary density profile, demonstrating the spontaneous formation of a vortex solitonlike structure in an atomic Bose gas. We record an emergent self-similar dynamics caused by an azimuthal modulational instability, which amplifies initial density perturbations and leads to the eventual splitting of a solitonic ring profile or direct fragmentation of a superfluid into disordered, but roughly circular arrays of Townes solitonlike wave packets.

Purpose: To predict metastasis-free survival (MFS) for patients with prostate adenocarcinoma (PCa) treated with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and external radiotherapy using clinical factors and radiomics extracted from primary tumor and node volumes in pre-treatment PSMA PET/CT scans.
Materials/methods: Our cohort includes 134 PCa patients (nodal involvement in 28 patients). Gross tumor volumes of primary tumor (GTVp) and nodes (GTVn) on CT and PET scans were segmented.

Rabi splitting is a defining signature of strong light-matter interaction, emerging when a two-level system is resonantly driven by an optical field, resulting in a spectral doublet separated by the Rabi energy. In solid-state systems, Rabi splitting occurs at exciton resonances, where it is shaped by many-body interactions intrinsic to the material. Here, we investigate the Rabi splitting dynamics in two paradigmatic two-dimensional semiconductors: a hBN-encapsulated MoSe monolayer and a (Ga,In)As multiple quantum well structure.

In this work, the design and construction of a metamaterial (MTM) absorber to increase solar cell efficiency is proposed. MTM is use as frequency selective surface (FSS) in the infrared band. The design is made up of a split ring resonator (SRR) imprinted on the substrate's top surface, with a copper layer serving as a ground on the back layer of the substrate material.

What is the size limit for global aromaticity? How large can a macrocyclic π-system be and still exhibit an aromatic ring current around its circumference? We address this question by investigating a π-conjugated butadiyne-linked 18-porphyrin nanoring (diameter 8 nm). This nanoring was synthesized by two different strategies: classical template-directed synthesis, using a radial template with 18 pyridyl binding sites, and Vernier templating, using a small hexapyridyl template. Both strategies are effective when the porphyrins have octyloxy side chains, but classical templating is more effective than Vernier templating when the porphyrins have bulky trihexylsilyl substituents.
