Introduction: Bile duct injury (BDI) is a potentially devastating complication of cholecystectomy. Although the repair may be successful, patients often experience a decline in their quality of life (QoL). However, there is a paucity of data regarding the factors influencing long-term outcomes and QOL in these patients.

Cancer patients experience circadian rhythm disruptions during and after chemotherapy that can contribute to debilitating side effects. It is unknown how chemotherapy mediates circadian disruptions, and specifically the extent to which these disruptions occur at the level of the principal clock, the suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) of the hypothalamus. In the present study, we assessed how the commonly used chemotherapeutic, paclitaxel, impacts the SCN molecular clock and SCN-dependent behavioral adaptations to circadian challenges in female mice.

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common neuroimmunological disease in young adults. Data on its clinical onset before the age of 18 (paediatric-onset MS (POMS)) are limited.
Methods: This observational study present data on >1000 POMS compared with adult-onset MS (AOMS) and analysed patients regarding diagnostic delay, initial symptoms and long-term outcome using generalised additive models and adjustment for relevant confounders.

Chronic mesenteric ischemia (CMI) is a rare, yet increasingly prevalent, condition, especially among older adults. Diagnosing CMI in older adults presents significant challenges. Along with the burden of comorbidities and the physiological changes associated with aging, timely intervention is often delayed, leading to poorer outcomes.

Intravascular large B-cell lymphoma (IVLBCL) is a rare extranodal lymphoma characterized by selective growth of neoplastic lymphocytes within small vessels, and often lacking lymphadenopathy or circulating malignant cells. Its clinical heterogeneity and nonspecific symptoms frequently cause delayed diagnosis and treatment. We report 3 new cases in elderly patients presenting with unexplained anemia, systemic symptoms in 2 patients, and purpuric skin lesions in one patient.
