Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Bovis calculus sativus (BCS) is a traditional medicinal agent known for its pharmacological properties, which include heat-clearing, mental faculty revitalization, liver-cooling, and anticonvulsant effects. It is widely used application in the treatment of ischemic stroke accompanied by cognitive impairment; however, further research is necessary to clarify its effects and underlying mechanisms.
Aim Of The Study: This study examined the therapeutic potential of BCS in mitigating ischemic stroke-induced cognitive impairment induced by ischemic stroke, focusing on its mechanism of action in enhancing synaptic plasticity via the PKA/CREB/Sirt1/eIF2α signaling pathway.

Background: Spiny mice (Acomys sp.) have a unique ability of scarless regeneration. Therefore, the transfer of models used in convenient laboratory mice to study fibrosis could be a prospective approach, enabling the identification of novel antifibrotic therapies.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is largely linked with oxidative stress, the accumulation of amyloid- plaques, and hyperphosphorylated -protein aggregation. Alterations in dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmission have also been implicated in various AD-related symptoms. : To explore new therapeutic agents, a series of bicyclic and tricyclic thieno-oxazepine derivatives were synthesized as potential acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) inhibitors.

The enantiomeric purity of Finerenone (FIN), a novel therapeutic for chronic kidney disease (CKD), is a critical quality attribute for ensuring patient safety. This study reports the first chiral HPLC method for the simultaneous determination of FIN and its enantiomer, developed and validated using a rigorous analytical quality by design (AQbD) framework. The method employs a CHIRALPAK AD-H column with an isocratic mobile phase of n-hexane: ethanol (62:38, v/v).

Addressing the critical challenge of precise boundary delineation in medical image segmentation, we introduce DPGNet, an adaptive deep learning model engineered to emulate expert perception of intricate anatomical edges. Our key innovations drive its superior performance and clinical utility, encompassing: 1) a three-stage progressive refinement strategy that establishes global context, performs hierarchical feature enhancement, and precisely delineates local boundaries; 2) a novel Edge Difference Attention (EDA) module that implicitly learns and quantifies boundary uncertainties without requiring explicit ground truth supervision; and 3) a lightweight, transformer-based architecture ensuring an exceptional balance between performance and computational efficiency. Extensive experiments across diverse and challenging medical image datasets demonstrate DPGNet's consistent superiority over state-of-the-art methods, notably achieving this with significantly lower computational overhead (25.
