. This paper proposes a conditional GAN (cGAN)-based method to perform data enhancement of ultrasound images and segmentation of tumors in breast ultrasound images, which improves the reality of the enhenced breast ultrasound image and obtains a more accurate segmentation result.. We use the idea of generative adversarial training to accomplish the following two tasks: (1) in this paper, we use generative adversarial networks to generate a batch of samples with labels from the perspective of label-generated images to expand the dataset from a data enhancement perspective. (2) In this paper, we use adversarial training instead of postprocessing steps such as conditional random fields to enhance higher-level spatial consistency. In addition, this work proposes a new network, EfficientUNet, based on U-Net, which combines ResNet18, an attention mechanism and a deep supervision technique. This segmentation model uses the residual network as an encoder to retain the lost information in the original encoder and can avoid the gradient disappearance problem to improve the feature extraction ability of the model, and it also uses deep supervision techniques to speed up the convergence of the model. The channel-by-channel weighting module of SENet is then used to enable the model to capture the tumor boundary more accurately.. The paper concludes with experiments to verify the validity of these efforts by comparing them with mainstream methods on Dataset B. The Dice score and IoU score reaches 0.8856 and 0.8111, respectively.. This study successfully combines cGAN and optimized EfficientUNet for the segmentation of breast tumor ultrasound images. The conditional generative adversarial network has a good performance in data enhancement, and the optimized EfficientUNet makes the segmentation more accurate.

Objectives: IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) can affect multiple organ systems, with coronary artery involvement being rare. Coronary periarteritis may lead to complications such as myocardial infarction and ischemic cardiomyopathy. This case series characterizes the clinical and radiological features, complications, and treatment strategies in patients with IgG4-RD-associated coronary periarteritis.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is characterized by excessive worry and physical symptoms of prolonged anxiety. Patients with subclinical GAD-states (sub-GAD) do not fulfill the diagnostic criteria of GAD, but they often show a disease burden similar to GAD, and the subclinical state may turn into a full syndrome. Neuroinflammation may contribute to changes in brain structures in sub-GAD, but direct evidence remains lacking.

Large language models (LLMs) have been successfully used for data extraction from free-text radiology reports. Most current studies were conducted with LLMs accessed via an application programming interface (API). We evaluated the feasibility of using open-source LLMs, deployed on limited local hardware resources for data extraction from free-text mammography reports, using a common data element (CDE)-based structure.

Background: Microfocused ultrasound (MFU) is a non-invasive technique used for facial rejuvenation, yet there is limited quantitative data on its long-term effects. This study aimed to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of MFU for facial rejuvenation. We utilized standardized photography along with advanced skin assessment technologies to analyze the impact of MFU on facial morphology, skin function, and patient satisfaction over a 12-month period.

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a highly aggressive type of lung cancer, characterized by rapid proliferation, early metastatic spread, frequent early relapse and a high mortality rate. Recent evidence has suggested that innervation has an important role in the development and progression of several types of cancer. Cancer-to-neuron synapses have been reported in gliomas, but whether peripheral tumours can form such structures is unknown.
