The role of the right hemisphere in aphasia recovery has been controversial since the 19th century. Imaging studies have sometimes found increased activation in right hemisphere regions homotopic to canonical left hemisphere language regions, but these results have been questioned due to small sample sizes, unreliable imaging tasks, and task performance confounds that affect right hemisphere activation levels even in neurologically healthy adults. Several principles of right hemisphere language recruitment in aphasia have been proposed based on these studies: that the right hemisphere is recruited primarily by individuals with severe left hemisphere damage, that transcallosal disinhibition results in recruitment of right hemisphere regions homotopic to the lesion, and that increased right hemisphere activation diminishes to baseline levels over time.

The One Health Joint Plan of Action (2022-2026), developed by the United Nations Quadripartite (FAO, UNEP, WHO, and WOAH), provides a comprehensive framework to address global health risks at the human-animal-plant-environment interface. However, it overlooks the critical role of microbiomes-complex microbial communities that underpin the health of all ecosystems and are central to the One Health paradigm. Microbiomes regulate key processes, such as nutrient cycling, pathogen suppression, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) dynamics, and environmental resilience, making their inclusion essential for achieving One Health goals.

Purpose: This paper aims to introduce an adapted, culturally competent leadership conceptual framework for indigenous health care, aiming to improve health access and address gaps in Western-centric leadership models.
Design/methodology/approach: A systematic literature review and thematic analysis of 32 peer-reviewed articles were conducted, guided by transformational and cultural sensitivity frameworks to adapt a conceptual framework to support health access in indigenous communities.
Findings: The adapted indigenous leadership conceptual framework (AILCF) includes 11 interrelated leadership themes - visionary leadership, supportive and empathetic leadership, adaptive leadership, integrity and ethical leadership, communicative leadership, courageous leadership, cultural competence, community engagement and relationship-building, historical trauma and healing, structural change and leadership in crisis - synthesized through transformational and culturally sensitive leadership lenses to support equitable health access and culturally grounded leadership in indigenous health-care settings.

Introduction: Rice is an important food crop but is susceptible to diseases. However, currently available spot segmentation models have high computational overhead and are difficult to deploy in field environments.
Methods: To address these limitations, a lightweight rice leaf spot segmentation model (MV3L-MSDE-PGFF-CA-DeepLabv3+, MMPC-DeepLabv3+) was developed for three common rice leaf diseases: rice blast, brown spot and bacterial leaf blight.

The ideal approach should not only restore skeletal contour but also address nerve deficits and facilitate final occlusal rehabilitation, all while minimizing morbidity. This report describes a comprehensive, multi-staged strategy for such a case.
