Introduction: Military fast jet pilots face significant physical challenges, including high Gz accelerations during dynamic maneuvers. The objectives of this study were threefold: 1) to record pilot movements during real flights, 2) to quantify head and trunk movements under standardized Gz conditions and during basic fighter maneuvers (BFMs), and 3) to categorize compensatory strategies used to mitigate physical strain.

Methods: A total of 20 Eurofighter pilots (mean age: 28.

This randomized trial compared remote perioperative telemonitoring (RPM) care versus surgeon only care in patients with gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), or gynecological (GYN) cancers (N = 293). The RPM care arm wore a wristband accelerometer and reported symptoms via a mobile application (app) before surgery and at days 7, 14, 30, 60, 90 post-discharge. Triage nurses telephoned patients when data deviated from predetermined thresholds.

Transdisciplinary research presents a promising approach to addressing complex societal challenges by integrating scientific and experiential knowledge in joint learning processes. Transdisciplinary methods are crucial for supporting knowledge integration by enabling actors from within and outside academia to evaluate their expertise, share insights, and co-create innovative solutions. Despite growing interest in transdisciplinary methods, their effectiveness remains under-researched, mainly due to a lack of standardized instruments to measure their contribution to knowledge integration.

Introduction: The increasing prevalence of myopia worldwide poses significant public health concerns. Accumulating evidence suggests a potential link between ocular diseases and the gut microbiota (GM); however, whether the GM directly contributes to myopia development remains to be established.

Methods: This study investigated the potential causal link between the GM and myopia through bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis, further validated by experiments conducted on a form-deprivation myopia (FDM) guinea pig model.
