Background: The treatment of mandibular angle fractures remains controversial, particularly regarding the method of fixation. The primary aim of this study was to compare surgical outcomes following treatment with 1-plate versus 2-plate fixation across two oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics. The secondary aim was to evaluate associations between patient-, trauma-, and procedure-specific factors with postoperative complications and to identify high-risk patients for secondary osteosynthesis.

Rationale And Objectives: The diagnostic value of traditional imaging methods and radiomics in predicting macrotrabecular-massive hepatocellular carcinoma (MTM HCC) is yet to be ascertained. Therefore, this meta-analysis aims to compare the diagnostic performance of radiomics and conventional imaging techniques for MTM HCC.
Materials And Methods: Comprehensive publications were searched in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library up to 28 February 2025.

Incarcerated or threatened bowel obstruction with suspected intestinal ischemia requires prompt surgical intervention. This retrospective case series, involving 8 patients undergoing emergency laparotomy, evaluated the feasibility of combining indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence and Doppler ultrasound for intraoperative bowel viability assessment. Indocyanine green was injected intravenously.

Background: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and social communication disorder (SCD) are neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by deficits in social communication that hinder social adaptation, with limited pharmacological options for therapy owing to the absence of identified biomarkers. Individuals with ASD or SCD require lifelong interventions tailored to their development stages. However, most existing interventions primarily focus on early childhood, leaving adolescents relatively underserved.
