Background: Drape-forming is a cost-effective method used worldwide to manufacture bespoke ankle foot orthoses (AFOs). It involves draping a heated polymer material sheet over a positive cast of the user's limb. Previous research has shown that the manual nature of drape-forming can influence the thickness of the final AFO and even lead to structures that are inadequately rigid to be clinically effective.

Electroencephalography (EEG) is a comparatively inexpensive and non-invasive recording technique of neural activity, making it a valuable tool for biomarker discovery in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). This systematic review aimed to examine mechanistic and predictive biomarkers, identified through TMS-EEG or resting-state EEG, of treatment response to TMS in psychiatric and neurocognitive disorders. Nineteen articles were obtained via Embase, APA PsycInfo, MEDLINE, and manual search; conditions included, unipolar depression (k = 13), Alzheimer's disease (k = 3), bipolar depression (k = 2), and schizophrenia (k = 2).

Purpose: To share key learnings from the assessment of a COVID-19 vaccination system in Scotland using a Human Reliability Analysis (HRA) approach.
Method: Project data were collected in February 2021 in NHS Ayrshire and Arran (NHSAA) - the regional health authority - using document analysis (Service Delivery Manual, 2020), observations (2 site visits), and workshops (n = 8, with 26 participants). The Systematic Human Error Reduction and Prediction Approach (SHERPA) is a framework for human reliability analysis that can be used as part of a safety assessment or safety case to determine whether the system is 'safe enough' and provide recommendations to improve safety by mitigating error potential.

This study aimed to assess the relative effectiveness and safety of these interventions in reducing waist circumference, waist-to-hip ratio, waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), body mass index (BMI), and body weight among adults with abdominal obesity.
