Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a hereditary blood disorder characterized by the production of abnormal hemoglobin molecules that cause red blood cells to take on a crescent or sickle shape. SCD causes excruciating pain, leading to hospitalizations and negatively affecting patients' quality of life. In transitioning to university life, students find themselves in a new environment, with demanding new domestic responsibilities and engaging in academic tasks that are perceived as different and are closely related to future success and dealing with their social life.

Aim: To summarize the optimal strategies for dealing with missing binary outcome data (MBOD) in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) as informed by simulation studies, and to summarize the quality of reporting in these studies.
Methods: To identify simulation studies comparing at least two strategies to deal with MBOD and evaluating their performance (bias, coverage and power), we searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials via Ovid, Web of Science, and JSTOR from their inception up to December 20, 2023. We evaluated reporting quality using established criteria for simulation studies in medical statistics.

Youden index is one of the broadly used measurements to assess the accuracy of the diagnostic test under consideration. In real medical diagnostic studies, verification of the true disease status might only be partially available due to ethical and cost considerations, and the drawbacks of gold-standard tests. Therefore, statistical evaluation of the diagnostic accuracy of a test based only on data from subjects with verified disease status is typically biased.

This paper addresses the challenge of missing data in scientific research. It specifically examines the case of missing data arising from a "catch-all" missing not at random (MNAR) mechanism, where missing values are disproportionately from one category, such as income or ethnicity in surveys. The study introduces the use of the regression diagnostic DFBETAS along with Leverage to improve the imputation of categorical data under such conditions.

With the continuous advancement of 3D scanning technology, point cloud data of mechanical components has found widespread applications in industrial design, manufacturing, and repair. However, due to limitations in scanning precision and acquisition conditions, point cloud data often exhibit sparsity and missing information. This issue is particularly challenging when dealing with mechanically complex geometric shapes, where the missing portions frequently contain crucial details, posing significant difficulties for data completion.
