Introduction: Tissue-resident macrophages (TRMs) are highly heterogeneous and have a complex and important role in tissue support, homeostasis, and function. The heterogeneity, maintenance, and function of TRMs, as one of the major immune cells in the ovary, are not well understood.
Methods: Application of flow cytometry, Parabiosis, Fate mapping, Macrophage depletion, etc.
Results: Here, we described two distinct macrophage subsets, F4/80CD11b and F4/80CD11b, with different phenotypic characteristics in the ovary of mice. The F4/80CD11b population contained a distinct CD206 subgroup and highly expressed CD81, while the F4/80CD11b subset showed higher expression of CCR2 and TLR2. Notably, Ly6c macrophages were present almost exclusively in the F4/80CD11b subpopulation. Combining in vivo fate mapping and parabiotic mouse models, we characterized the longevity and replenishment of the two macrophage populations. We found that both the F4/80CD11b and F4/80CD11b subsets were ovary-resident. Importantly, the F4/80CD11b macrophages acted as a self-maintaining and long-lived population with a modest monocyte contribution at a steady state, and the F4/80CD11b subpopulation had a relatively short lifespan with a greater contribution from monocytes. After macrophage ablation, disturbance of estradiol secretion and ovarian hemorrhage due to damaged vascular integrity was observed in mice.
Discussion: Our data provide critical insights into ovarian macrophage heterogeneity and highlight the strategic role of TRMs in ovarian homeostasis and physiology.

Understanding the intricate relationship between land use/land cover (LULC) transformations and land surface temperature (LST) is critical for sustainable urban planning. This study investigates the spatiotemporal dynamics of LULC and LST across Delhi, India, using thermal data from Landsat 7 (2001), Landsat 5 (2011) and Landsat 8 (2021) resampled to 30-m spatial resolution, during the peak summer month of May. The study aims to target three significant aspects: (i) to analyse and present LULC-LST dynamics across Delhi, (ii) to evaluate the implications of LST effects at the district level and (iii) to predict seasonal LST trends in 2041 for North Delhi district using the seasonal auto-regressive integrated moving average (SARIMA) time series model.

In this study, we investigated the influence of ultrasonic frequency during ultrasound-assisted chemical bath deposition (UCBD) on the surface morphology and electrochemical performance of CoO:MnO@CoMnO composite flexible electrodes for supercapacitor applications. By systematically varying the ultrasonic frequency (1.0-2.

This study compared symptom reporting and cognitive test performance within 72 h of a suspected concussion between high school student-athletes with and without pre-injury self-reported mental health treatment. Eight hundred seventy-nine high school athletes with ( = 75) and without ( = 804) a self-reported history of treatment for anxiety or depression underwent preseason baseline testing, and post-injury testing within 72 h of suspected concussion. At baseline, adolescents with a self-reported history of treatment for anxiety or depression ( = 75, 8.

Chemical investigations of the -butanol extract of the roots of were carried out using column chromatography, flash, semi-preparative HPLC, and chiral HPLC. Five unidentified compounds, including two prenylated coumarin glucosides, two prenylated furanocoumarin glucosides, and a benzofuran glucoside, together with twelve known compounds, were isolated from the -butanol fraction of extract. The structures of these compounds were identified by HRMS, NMR, UV, ECD in combination with quantum chemical calculations, and comparison with the literature.

Background And Objectives: Years before diagnosis of Parkinson disease (PD), dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), or multiple system atrophy (MSA), mild prodromal manifestations can be detected. Longitudinal follow-up of people with prodromal synucleinopathy, particularly idiopathic/isolated REM sleep behavior disorder (iRBD), enables in-depth clinical phenotyping of early disease, which could facilitate stratification for clinical trials, provide the definition of appropriate end points, or predict phenoconversion more precisely. The aim of this study was to update and expand on previous studies assessing clinical evolution from iRBD to clinically diagnosed disease, up to 14 years before diagnosis.
