Purpose: Acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) is a significant cause of death in recipients of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In this type of graft, the intestine is particularly affected, with the loss of intestinal barrier integrity playing a key role in its onset. In this scenario, the aim of the present research was to evaluate defibrotide, a heparin-like compound, marked for severe veno-occlusive disease, as an innovative therapeutic approach for restoring intestinal barrier integrity using an in vitro model and analyzing aGVHD patients' sera and clinical data.

Background: Chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy has transformed the treatment landscape for relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma, achieving a 5-year overall survival rate of 40-50%. However, relapse remains a major challenge, especially due to CD19-negative clones. Epcoritamab, a bispecific antibody targeting CD20 and CD3, offers a potential solution for post-CAR-T relapse; however, clinical data in this setting remain limited, particularly in Japan.

Primary aldosteronism (PA) is one of the prevalent causes of secondary hypertension, characterized by the autonomous hypersecretion of aldosterone and concurrent renin inhibition. Clinical and biochemical remission rates for patients with PA achieved through surgery are far higher compared to those achieved through drug treatment; hence, subtyping PA is crucial for identifying patients who will benefit most from surgery. Computed tomography (CT) scan with adrenal protocol and adrenal venous sampling (AVS) is used conventionally for PA subtype classification.

Introduction And Importance: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common non-Hodgkin lymphoma, yet primary renal involvement is rare, constituting less than 1 % of renal malignancies. A case of non-germinal center B-cell-like (non-GCB) DLBCL with BCL-6 positivity is particularly unique. Conventionally, BCL-6 is linked to germinal center B-cell-like (GCB) subtypes.

Extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTCL), nasal type, is a rare and aggressive subtype of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma that often presents with extranodal involvement. While relapse patterns commonly involve the nasal cavity, lungs or skin, cardiac involvement is rare. We report a late 50-year-old patient with ENKTCL, nasal type, who achieved complete remission following chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplantation.
