We study dynamics of a generic quadratic diffeomorphism, a 3D generalization of the planar Hénon map. Focusing on the dissipative, orientation preserving case, we give a comprehensive parameter study of codimension-one and two bifurcations. Periodic orbits, born at resonant, Neimark-Sacker bifurcations, give rise to Arnold tongues in parameter space. Aperiodic attractors include invariant circles and chaotic orbits; these are distinguished by rotation number and Lyapunov exponents. Chaotic orbits include Hénon-like and Lorenz-like attractors, which can arise from period-doubling cascades, and those born from the destruction of invariant circles. The latter lie on paraboloids near the local unstable manifold of a fixed point.

Automated vehicles (AVs) have the potential to enhance transportation for all, but current research suggests that women remain less engaged and more hesitant toward their adoption. This scoping review systematically analyses 34 peer-reviewed studies published between 2016 and 2025 to assess how women's experiences, needs, and concerns are represented in AV research. Using thematic analysis, we identify key facilitators and barriers to AV adoption and map them onto a Socio-Ecological Model spanning five levels: individual, interpersonal, institutional, community, and policy.

We develop a model that integrates evolutionary matrix game theory with Mendelian genetics. Within this framework, we define the genotype dynamics that describes how the frequencies of genotypes change in sexual diploid populations. We show that our formal definition of evolutionary stability for genotype distributions implies the stability of the corresponding interior equilibrium point in the genotype dynamics.

In the field of quality control, metal surface defect detection is an important yet challenging task. Although YOLO models perform well in most object detection scenarios, metal surface images under operational conditions often exhibit coexisting high-frequency noise components and spectral aliasing background textures, and defect targets typically exhibit characteristics such as small scale, weak contrast, and multi-class coexistence, posing challenges for automatic defect detection systems. To address this, we introduce concepts including wavelet decomposition, cross-attention, and U-shaped dilated convolution into the YOLO framework, proposing the YOLOv11-WBD model to enhance feature representation capability and semantic mining effectiveness.

Humanitarian crises, particularly in conflict zones, create cascading disruptions that impact every aspect of daily life, including health and disease outcomes. While international humanitarian frameworks categorize these crises into discrete operational clusters, affected populations experience them as interwoven, systemic failures. This study examines how conflict-induced disruptions transform a preventable and typically self-limiting disease-Hepatitis A-into a fatal outcome.

Elder abuse is predicted to rise, and hospital social workers receive professional training to respond. A scoping review was conducted to map the breadth and extent of existing literature on hospital social worker roles in response to elder abuse. Key words searched across six databases and five journals were "social work*," "hospital*," "elder*," "abus*" and their derivatives to identify relevant literature.
