Due to the small size, high mobility and large surface area, nanoplastics (NPs) showed high potential risks to aquatic organisms. This paper reviews the toxicity of NPs to aquatic organism at various trophic levels including bacteria, plankton (algae), zooplankton, benthos, and nekton (fish). The effects at individual level caused by NPs were explained and proved by cytotoxicity and genotoxicity, and the toxicity of NPs beyond individual level was also illustrated. The toxicity of NPs is determined by the size, dosage, and surface property of NPs, as well as environmental factors, the presence of co-contaminants and the sensitivity of tested organisms. Furthermore, the joint effects of NPs with other commonly detected pollutants such as organic pollutants, metals, and nanoparticles etc. were summarized. In order to reflect the toxicity of NPs in the real natural environment, studies on toxicity assessment of NPs with the coexistence of various environmental factors and contaminants, particularly under the concentrations in natural environment are suggested.

While it can accelerate the learning process by circumventing slow and costly individual trial-and-error learning, its effectiveness depends on knowing when and whose information to use. Language learning and use relies on domain-specific, domain-general cognitive and sensory-motor functions. Using fMRI during story listening and behavioral tests, we investigated brain-behavior associations between linguistic and non-linguistic measures in individuals with varied multilingual experience and reading skills, including typical reading participants (TRs) and dyslexic readers (DRs). Partial Least Square Correlation revealed a main component linking cognitive, linguistic, and phonological measures to amodal/associative brain areas.

Purpose: CDKL5 deficiency disorder (CDD) is a rare developmental and epileptic encephalopathy. Background And Objectives: Explore whether community social capital measures (system of resources available to individuals through community engagement) are related to surgical outcomes among intracranial tumor patients.
Methods: Adults who underwent resection at a single medical center for intracranial tumor was identified and their zip codes were matched to three variables derived from the Social Capital Atlas: economic connectedness, volunteering rate, and civic organizations. The economic connectedness score quantifies the degree to which low-income and high-income community members are friends with each other, the volunteering rate is defined as the proportion of a given community engaged in community organizations and the civic organization score is defined as the number of local civic organizations within a given community.
