COVID-19 has become a matter of serious concern over the last few years. It has adversely affected numerous people around the globe and has led to the loss of billions of dollars of business capital. In this paper, we propose a novel Spatial-Temporal Synchronous Graph Transformer network (STSGT) to capture the complex spatial and temporal dependency of the COVID-19 time series data and forecast the future status of an evolving pandemic. The layers of STSGT combine the graph convolution network (GCN) with the self-attention mechanism of transformers on a synchronous spatial-temporal graph to capture the dynamically changing pattern of the COVID time series. The spatial-temporal synchronous graph simultaneously captures the spatial and temporal dependencies between the vertices of the graph at a given and subsequent time-steps, which helps capture the heterogeneity in the time series and improve the forecasting accuracy. Our extensive experiments on two publicly available real-world COVID-19 time series datasets demonstrate that STSGT significantly outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms that were designed for spatial-temporal forecasting tasks. Specifically, on average over a 12-day horizon, we observe a potential improvement of 12.19% and 3.42% in Mean Absolute Error (MAE) over the next best algorithm while forecasting the daily infected and death cases respectively for the 50 states of US and Washington, D.C. Additionally, STSGT also outperformed others when forecasting the daily infected cases at the state level, e.g., for all the counties in the State of Michigan. The code and models are publicly available at https://github.com/soumbane/STSGT.

Introduction: Wave speed (WS) mapping, enabled by omnipolar technology, allows for real-time visualization of local conduction velocity (CV). Its utility in ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation has not been fully characterized.
Methods And Results: We describe a case series of patients undergoing VT ablation in which WS mapping was applied alongside established techniques such as peak frequency (PF) mapping and isochronal late activation mapping (ILAM).

Background: Survivors of critical illness frequently face physical, cognitive and psychological impairments after intensive care. Sensorimotor impairments potentially have a negative impact on participation. However, comprehensive understanding of sensorimotor recovery and participation in survivors of critical illness is limited.

Background: Interventions aimed to increase healthcare provider empathy and capacity to deliver person-centered care have been shown to improve healthcare seeking and outcomes. In the context of self-injectable contraception, empathetic counseling and coaching may be promising approaches for addressing "fear of the needle" among clients interested in using subcutaneous depot medroxyprogesterone (DMPA-SC). In Nigeria, the Delivering Innovation in Self-Care (DISC) project developed and evaluated an empathy-based in-service training and supportive supervision intervention for public sector family (FP) planning providers implemented in conjunction with community-based mobilization.

Background: Immigrants continue to face challenges after entering the labor market and remain overrepresented in '3-D jobs' (dirty, difficult, degrading). This study aims to investigate the differences in occupational injury due to accidents (OIA) among immigrants compared to native-born workers in Sweden, and to examine the role of migrant-specific and work factors in these differences.
Methods: This repeated cross-sectional study used nationwide registers including all gainfully employed individuals in 2004-2020 (average annual sample 4.

Background: Current scoring systems for hypertriglyceridaemia-induced acute pancreatitis (HTG-AP) severity are few and lack reliability. The present work focused on screening predicting factors for HTG-SAP, then constructing and validating the visualization model of HTG-AP severity by combining relevant metabolic indexes.
Methods: Between January 2020 and December 2024, retrospective clinical information for HTG-AP inpatients from Weifang People's Hospital was examined.
