Background: Various interventions have been proposed to enhance surgical field quality during endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS). This study evaluates whether preoperative oral clonidine enhances surgical field quality during ESS.
Methods: PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase, and CENTRAL databases were searched.
Background: Acute pancreatitis is a significant complication of endoscopic retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) with no established prevention strategy. Recent studies suggest that rectal indomethacin may reduce the incidence of post-ERCP pancreatitis (PEP), but its effectiveness varies with patient risk levels and the concurrent use of pancreatic stenting. This updated meta-analysis evaluates the efficacy of rectal indomethacin in preventing PEP.

Malignant obstructive jaundice (MOJ) due to tumor compression or invasion of the bile duct carries a grave prognosis. We report a case of a 54-year-old female patient (height: 160 cm, weight: 55 kg, BMI: 21.5 kg/m², ECOG performance status: 1, with type 2 diabetes mellitus) advanced pancreatic head cancer causing MOJ, managed with a multidisciplinary approach.

Introduction And Importance: Accidental chemical injuries in medical settings are uncommon but can have devastating consequences. Formaldehyde (commonly in the form of formalin solution) is widely used as tissue fixative in clinics and laboratories. If inadvertently introduced into living tissue, formaldehyde causes rapid protein coagulation and tissue fixation, leading to cell death and necrosis.

Introduction: The Robotics Committee of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) conducted a study of surgeons' perspectives on robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) as compared to laparoscopic surgery (LS) in four domains: performance, requirements, challenges, and surgical care outcomes.
Methods: An exploratory sequential mixed-methods study was performed with a thematic analysis of surgeon interviews using the framework method, followed by an online survey of SAGES Robotics Committee members. Descriptive statistics, t-tests, and ANOVA were utilized for analysis.
