Purpose: This study aimed to compare the dimensional and positional deviations of additively manufactured removable dies fabricated using two bio-based resins and one conventional dental cast resin, while also evaluating these outcomes over a 4-week period.

Materials And Methods: A right mandibular first molar preparation on a typodont was scanned to digitally design removable dies and hollow partial arch casts. Based on a priori power analysis, a total of 30 dies (n = 10) and three hollow casts (n = 1) were fabricated using additive manufacturing (AM) from three different dental cast resins: DentaMODEL (DM), FotoDent bio-based model (CB), and soy-based resin (SB).

In routine forensic chemical casework where measurements are performed on reference materials, determination of measurement uncertainty is described in several guidelines. The proposed methods often have the drawback that they are not derived from a statistical framework and may lead to conservative confidence intervals. Furthermore, the formulas involved may vary considerably for different types of reference material.

Background: In hyponatremic patients, concurrent dialysate flow during hemodialysis may be an ideal option to mitigate complications such as osmotic demyelination syndrome (ODS).

Methods: Present randomized controlled trial enrolled dialysis-requiring chronic kidney disease (CKD) and acute kidney injury (AKI) patients with serum sodium levels < 125 mEq/L during January 2020 over 16 months. Hemodynamically unstable patients, as well as those with a history of seizures and neurological conditions, were excluded.

Subcutaneous (SC) injection is the primary alternative to oral administration for therapeutic proteins and peptides. However, bioavailability and absorption rate are often variable and difficult to predict. Therefore, there is a need for new biorelevant and predictive SC in vitro methods.

Application of particle swarm optimization to non-orthogonal error correction in SAFEM total magnetic intensity measurements.

In the semi-airborne frequency-domain electromagnetic (SAFEM) method, the total magnetic intensity (TMI) is derived from the vector synthesis of triaxial inductive magnetic sensors. However, non-orthogonal errors in the sensors introduce measurement inaccuracies. Traditional calibration techniques are unsuitable for induction magnetic sensors because they require either static magnetic field measurements or complex alternating current reference fields.
