Article Abstract

Idiopathic left ventricular tachycardia is macro-reentrant tachycardia involving the fascicles in the left ventricle as a part of its reentrant circuit. The detailed circuit mechanisms somewhat remain unclear. We reported QRS and cycle length alternans confirmed after the first application of radiofrequency delivery for the distal site of left posterior fascicle potential (P2) in a patient with idiopathic left ventricular tachycardia.

This case report describes primary meningococcal pericarditis (PMP), a rare and potentially life-threatening form of infection that may mimic idiopathic or viral pericarditis, particularly in the absence of classic signs of meningococcemia or meningitis. PMP accounts for a small proportion of meningococcal pericarditis cases. Early in its course, PMP can present without systemic features or hemodynamic instability, complicating timely recognition.

Purpose: This study aims to address the limitations of radiographic imaging and single-task learning models in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis assessment by developing a noninvasive, radiation-free diagnostic framework.

Methods: A multi-task deep learning model was trained using structured back surface data acquired via fringe projection three-dimensional imaging. The model was designed to simultaneously predict the Cobb angle, curve type (thoracic, lumbar, mixed, none), and curve direction (left, right, none) by learning shared morphological features.

Idiopathic macular telangiectasia (MacTel II) is a degenerative disorder of the Müller cells, characterised by pigment proliferation and retinal degeneration. We present a case of an elderly woman with bilateral asymmetric loss of vision. Fundus examination in the right eye revealed profuse pigment proliferation at the macula and pigment plaques temporal to the macula in the left eye, with bilateral retinal greying and right-angled venules.
