Densification-Related Optical and Photodetection Properties of Green-Synthesized MAPbI and MAPbI@Graphite Powders.

For photodetection applications using 3D hybrid perovskites (HPs), dense and thick films or compacted powders in wafer form are needed and generally require large amounts of HPs. HPs are also often combined with a graphene/carbon layer to improve their conductivity. Among HP synthesis methods, mechanosynthesis, a green synthesis method, provides a large amount of powders, which are furthermore easily densified in compact wafers due to their mechanical activation.

When cells in a primary tumor work together to invade into nearby tissue, this can lead to cell dissociations-cancer cells breaking off from the invading front-leading to metastasis. What controls the dissociation of cells and whether they break off singly or in small groups? Can this be determined by cell-cell adhesion or chemotactic cues given to cells? We develop a physical model for this question, based on experiments that mimic aspects of cancer cell invasion using microfluidic devices with microchannels of different widths. Experimentally, most dissociation events ("ruptures") involve single cells breaking off, but we observe some ruptures of large groups (~20 cells) in wider channels.

The effect of chatbot-supported instruction on nursing students' history-taking questioning skills and stress level: A randomized controlled study.

J Prof Nurs

September 2025

Kocaeli University of Health and Technology, Information Systems Engineering Deparment, Kocaeli, Turkey; Wefi Games Software Company, Goller Bolgesi Teknokenti, Isparta, Turkey.

Background: Comprehensive history-taking is crucial for patient assessment, prioritisation of care, and planning of care. While direct instruction methods effectively explain history-taking processes and components, they provide insufficient opportunities for practice, necessitating the implementation of supplementary teaching strategies.

Objective: This study aimed to examine the effects of AI chatbot-supported history-taking training on nursing students' questioning skills and clinical stress levels.

In many model organisms, the circadian system has been proposed to comprise multiple oscillators that interact to promote accuracy of the clock as well as intricacies of rhythmic outputs. In Neurospora crassa, the circadian transcriptional/translational loop comprising of the FRQ (Frequency) and WCC (White Collar Complex) proteins has been instrumental in explaining many attributes of the clock including entrainment and rhythms in development and gene expression; in addition, some non-circadian oscillations can be unmasked when the FRQ-WCC feedback loop is eliminated. These rhythms have often lost defining circadian characteristics and are potentially controlled by other oscillators, termed FRQ-less oscillators (FLOs) in Neurospora.

Background: Allopurinol, the most prescribed urate-lowering drug, is a known cause of severe cutaneous adverse reactions. We aimed to develop and validate a model to assess the risk of allopurinol-induced severe cutaneous adverse reactions in adults newly prescribed allopurinol.

Methods: In this retrospective new-user cohort study, we developed and validated a prognostic model using primary care, hospitalisation, and mortality data extracted from the UK Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) primary care database, for the period Jan 1, 2001, to March 29, 2021.
