Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether the combination of cefazolin or a second-generation cephalosporin plus metronidazole is associated with a reduced risk of surgical site infection in women undergoing hysterectomy for gynecologic cancer compared to using cefazolin or a second-generation cephalosporin alone.
Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study of patients who underwent hysterectomy at a single institution between January 2020 and June 2022. The primary outcome was surgical site infection.

Background: Umbilical cord hemorrhage (UCH) is a rare but catastrophic obstetric emergency associated with nearly 50% fetal mortality, and its precise pathogenic mechanisms remain elusive in clinical practice. The pathophysiological cascade involves hemorrhagic expansion from ruptured umbilical vessels predominantly the umbilical vein which generates compressive forces on adjacent umbilical arteries within the constrained Wharton's jelly. This acute vascular compromise precipitates the sudden cessation of fetoplacental circulation, culminating in irreversible hypoxic-ischemic injury.

Introduction And Importance: Various metabolic and physiologic changes that occur during pregnancy can sometimes lead to severe hypertriglyceridemia during pregnancy. The resultant hypertriglyceridemia may lead to acute pancreatitis in pregnancy, which even being rare poses significant health risks to both the child and the mother.
Presentation Of Case: A 26-year-old female, G4P1L1A2 at 36 weeks and 3 days of gestation, presented with an acute onset of abdominal pain in the epigastric region and multiple episodes of vomiting.

Ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized ovum implants outside the uterine cavity, most commonly in the fallopian tube. While rare, ectopic pregnancies can also occur in atypical locations such as the ovary, cervix, abdominal cavity, or broad ligament, often posing significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. We report a highly unusual case of ectopic pregnancy implanted in the left labium majus, a site not previously documented in the literature.

Background: Subamniotic hemorrhage, a rare condition involving bleeding between the amniotic membrane and fetal chorionic plate, presents diagnostic challenges.
Case Presentation: A 35-year-old woman at 37 weeks of gestation who presented with lower abdominal discomfort and decreased fetal movements came to our emergency department. Ultrasound revealed medium-strong echoes in the amniotic fluid and inhomogeneous echoes around the umbilical cord.
