Introduction: Prolonged Emergency Department (ED) stays, a global issue driving overcrowding, were exacerbated at our hospital by lab delays and extended waits, increasing patient stress. This study aimed to reduce hematology patients' length of stay (LOS). Using the fishbone method to identify care barriers, three interventions were implemented: redesigned lab referral systems, an online specialist communication platform, and patient navigation floor maps.

Familial non-medullary thyroid cancer, defined as two or more affected first-degree relatives, accounts for 3%-9% of thyroid cancers. It is associated with more aggressive cancer, early age at diagnosis, multifocality, and increased risk of metastasis and recurrence. Although no high penetrance predisposing gene has been identified at present, the estimated contribution of genetics is significant.

Background: Experiencing a patient's death after a resuscitation effort can be emotionally traumatizing to health care professionals. In a large community teaching hospital, the code blue team implemented "The Pause" as a coping strategy to support the well-being of the interprofessional health care team.
Objectives: To assess the impact of the Pause on compassion fatigue, distress, and mindfulness and to explore clinicians' experiences with patients' death after a code blue event and use of the Pause.

Introduction: Heart failure with a reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) is a common and serious condition often associated with atrial fibrillation (AF) and ventricular arrhythmias, leading to poor outcomes such as rehospitalizations and death. Detecting asymptomatic arrhythmias remains challenging, as traditional monitoring methods like 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs) or Holter ECGs are insufficient for continuous surveillance. This study aims to evaluate the utility of continuous arrhythmia monitoring using an implantable loop recorder (ILR) to detect asymptomatic arrhythmias in HFrEF patients, particularly for AF and ventricular tachycardia (VT).

To investigate the nutritional status and feeding behaviours of nursing home residents and the impact of cognitive impairments and feeding difficulties on nutritional health. A cross-sectional observational design was employed. The study assessed 51 nursing home residents using the Mini Nutritional Assessment Short-Form (MNA-SF) for nutritional status, the Feeding Difficulty Index (FDI) for mealtime behaviours, and the MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment or The MoCA Test) for cognitive function.
