The adoption of robotic pancreatectomy has grown significantly in recent years, driven by its potential advantages in precision, minimally invasive access, and improved patient recovery. However, mastering these complex procedures requires overcoming a substantial learning curve, and the role of structured mentoring in facilitating this transition remains underexplored. Aims: In the general population, individuals who self-identify as girls and women are typically less active and report more barriers to physical activity (PA), often influenced by gender stereotypes and sociocultural norms. These barriers may be accentuated in individuals with type 1 diabetes (T1D), who face additional diabetes-related barriers to engaging in PA.

Methods: In this narrative review, electronic databases were searched using keywords related to PA barriers and T1D.

September 2025

Sydney School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health, The University of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; Sydney Infectious Diseases Institute, Faculty of Medicine and Health, The University of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Electronic address:

Background/objectives: The importance of pro-equity strategies in addressing disadvantages that people and communities face due to their gender, migration status, ethnicity, disability, and place of residence is increasingly being recognised, but analysis of empirical evidence on how they improve vaccination in these priority groups is limited. This systematic review aims to fill this gap.

Methods: Standard evidence synthesis methods were employed, with searches conducted in four major bibliographic databases in March 2025.

A method is presented for determining the significant parameters, maximum wind speed and radius of maximum wind speed, of the surface winds associated with a hurricane. The method is based on Bayesian inversion, using Markov chain Monte Carlo sampling. Underwater acoustic measurements are used to estimate parameters in the axisymmetric Holland model for hurricane surface winds.
