Cross-relationship comparisons are an integral part of relationship processes, yet little is known about the impact of these comparisons in daily life. The present research employed a dyadic experience-sampling methodology ( = 78 couples) with end-of-day surveys, end-of-week follow-up, and a 6-month follow-up to examine how individuals make cross-relationship comparisons in daily life, the cumulative impact of these comparisons over time, and the dyadic consequences of such comparisons. Participants made more downward than upward comparisons; however, upward comparisons had a more lasting impact, resulting in decreased satisfaction and optimism, and less positive self-perceptions and partner perceptions, at the end of each day and the week. Individuals who made more upward comparisons were also less satisfied 6 months later. Individuals were also affected by their partner's comparisons: On days when partners made more upward comparisons, they felt less satisfied and optimistic about their relationship and less positive about themselves and their partner.

The screw-retained implant-supported crown is a durable, aesthetic restoration, but debonding between the crown and abutment remains a challenge to survivability. The purpose of this work was to devise an abutment shape that can be embedded into the crown while the crown is being additively manufactured. The result was a mechanically retained, no-adhesive abutment and crown unit that is mounted to the implant fixture.

Background: Past research has indicated the close connection between social media use and women's envy, but so far, no research has been conducted to exclusively examine the effect and mechanism of social media use on women's body-related envy.
Objective: To fill this gap, with TikTok as a representative example of video-based social media, four studies ( = 767) were conducted to explore whether and how social media use increases women's body-related envy, and the subsequent downstream consequences.
Method And Results: In Study 1a, we employed an online questionnaire survey and found that TikTok use had a significantly positive prediction on women's body-related envy.
